Why are my plants twisting

I've been growing some seedlings under random CFLs and LEDs I had around the house and decided to upgrade to a 400w hps. I have a cfl next to the seedlings to supplement blue light. After the switch in lighting my seedlings leaves started twisting. Anyone know why? First grow by the way.

What medium are you using, and what's the water pH that you're feeding with? Are you using nutrients yet? Which ones if so?

I put my seedlings and newly planted clones under a 400W, so I disagree with the too much light theory, unless it's abnormally close to the plants, which doesn't appear to be the case.

I'm using an organic soil and I gave a very small dose of fox farms grow big because the soil itself is pretty empty of nutes. Not sure the pH of the water but it's just store brand distilled water. The light is about 4 feet above the plants.
 
Forgot to mention the tent got quite hot yesterday id say into the low 90s. I was only using one fan and have since added a 6 inch inline fan which seems to be helping. Could the heat have been the cause? If so will they bounce back?
 
Yes. 90F will fry it. Do you have a Lux meter? Seedling needs 10k-12k Lux right now. No more. To much light will cause the twist also. It should bounce back.

Are you saying it’s bad to put seedlings under hps?
I’m currently using a dual-spectrum 250w hps, should i switch to MH?

light is 27” above seedlings
Temps are 23~27
Humidity is 50~70

Not at all. I veg under a 600w flower under 2.6kW. Just saying first couple weeks 12k lux is a good number. After that can crank up to about 60k.

Well I added a humidifier at my intake and I'll see if increased humidity and airflow will help recovery. Will update if they improve or not.
 
Update:
I upgraded to an air-cooled hood and the temperatures are stable at 68-78 degrees. Humidity has been much better but not perfect maybe 30-55. Plants have seen tremendous growth since then but also some other unrelated problems. Overall thanks a lot they are doing much better.
