I am having this same issue.

Temp: 75-80 day down to 66 on some nights.
Humidity: 35-40%
Light: 400 watt MH 18 hours on 6 off
Soil: Fox Farms Happy Frog with added Vermiculite
There is a 6" inline fan exhausting air with a passive intake. Also a fan circulating air in the room.

I have raised my humidity from around 20%.
I up-canned and added vermiculite to ensure the roots are getting enough oxygen.
I have moved the lights up and down several inches with no noticeable changes. It is currently as high as it ever has been.
I will raise the light 8-10" tomorrow when the lights come on to see if that fixes the issue. I will report back tomorrow after normal drooping time.

Stoner, I will continue to test everything I can and keep you updated on any progress. I have never had this issue and I am getting quite frustrated with it.

so when is the normal drooping time? when and how do you water? what kind of water.city, well r/o? a little drooping here or there can be normal sounds like air and co2 is not your problem. they will droop if they are thirsty and if you water at the same time every day or every other they might be telling you to give em more water.

ThDroopy 2 001.jpgey are a little worse at night. I have 1 plant that looks great, 5 others which are sad. Maybe it is overwatering? I don't water every day. Droopy 2 004.jpgWhen pot feels light I water. Maybe I should let the pot get even lighter. Until it's bone dry. Again, any help would be greatly appreciated.Droopy 2 003.jpg

They begin drooping after about 14-15 hours of light and get progressively worse until the lights go out. They always look great in the morning.
I water as needed, about every 3 days. I use RO water and add nutrients every 3rd watering.
They droop in the evening on watering days, in the evening after they haven't been watered for 5 days (They actually began drooping much earlier on this day.), and every day in between. I am confident that the issue is not cause by over/under watering.

I watered them yesterday with nutrients and raised my light this morning when my girls woke up, about 7 hours ago. They seem to be drooping slightly already, much earlier than usual. I will let them go on this way for about 4 more hours and check back. I will try to provide pictures this evening when I give my final results on raising the light.

Over watering and/or heat stress seems it is your problem. With metal halide bulbs keep them 8-20Inches away from your canopy. Experiment with the right height for your setup

I think I did a good job of proving that heat stress is out of the question. Also, I have had my 400 Watt MH with an enclosed vented hood 20 inches from my plants for the entire day, yet they are still drooping after the lights have been on for 16 hours.

Tomorrow I will move the light to between 5-6 inches for the entire day and see what happens. I have not shown much in the way of slowed growth, but I would like my girls to be happy and perky.

Still open to new suggestions.

sounds like your doing everything fine.tell me your not using iguana juice for nutes.how much do you water? does it come out the bottom? are they pretty light when you water? what pot size and how much water per plant?if you put your light that close tomorrow make sure to put a temp probe at the top of the canopy.

i dont know man. leaves that droop and curl in,yellowing starting from the inside out, these are some of the signs of overwatering.they almost look like they could use more nutes.

I am doing nothing different then what I have during previous soil grows, that is why this is so frustrating. Nope no iguana juice for me, I am using the Technaflora line. My plants are currently in 1 gal pots and I water with roughly 1/2 gal every watering, but I don't use any exact measurement. I water until there is significant run-off (probably about 10%) to ensure the soil is watered thoroughly. I don't water until the pot is very light when lifted and the soil is very light in color. I keep a cup of dry soil for comparison.

So far today the plants seem to be reacting very well to the close proximity of the light, which is 3" for the tallest plant. They have shown more growth than usual today and the leaves are fanning wider than usual. My temperature control swith is kept level with the canopy of the plants to ensure they are kept comfortable. Given the best of luck this is what they have been begging for.

No luck. They definitely prefer the light so close which is good to know, this is my first time around with a vented hood. Although, it had no effect on the droop. Since it seems that nobody has any idea what is causing this I am now going to make a list of variables that I can modify in an attempt to fix this. I just took clones so I might be spending a few generations of trial and error if that's what it takes.

Tonight I will turn my circulation fan off about 2 hours before normal drooping time and see if that has any effect.

Here are some photos taken today of them about the time the drooping becomes noticeable, and they get progressively worse as the day continues.

I will try to post some pictures later when they are drooping severely and again tomorrow when they look their best.

might be too close to your lights...thats how i know to raise the lights on mine...the same as when they are too far away the leaves will point upward...if the lights are too close they droop downward..thats the only time i get any droop is when the lights start getting too close...long as you know its not a water, heat,or co2...that might be the cause
