Why are my buds airy and light

I've got 4 plants under a 400 W Hps but that is about it. Anymore would cause a problem. Oops! I lied. I had to cut one but there is room for one more in it's splace.

Nah, I've seen handfuls of 400 watt grows with 6 to 8 plants, sog'd or LST'd. I've seen 4 nice plants from 250's!

400w and below i think are made for methods like LST,SOG and ScrOG..

i have a question about the grassy smell you talk about after like a couple days of drying does all bud get this smell then needs to be cured out or is it due to less light intensity?? ive had this problem in past grows.. im about to harvest and want everything to go well..

hey thanks for all the replies guys it really helps out but does any one have a picture of when to harvest or could explain to me i will post some pics soon
i got these seeds from dr chron a long time ago they seem to be pretty good






i have 5 grows going right now 4 medi bud it seems to be doing good i have 4 plants under a 400hps light

Thats just the chlorophyl thats remaining in the plant, after a couple weeks of curing you'll start smelling the dank.

You probably havested too early. 8 weeks isn't enough. 400 watts is plenty of light to make one plant yield as much as you know how to make her yield. just like everyone said... cure your buds nice and slow to make them smell nice.

you will need like a 30x microscope but this is one of the best ways to tell when to harvest depending on personal likeness. check out harvesting and curing in the grow faqs man there some good info

it could have been the heat becuase I had the 400 hps on 1 plant in a small cabinet and it was kinds far away from the plant. I think it night happen again with the grow I got now with four Medi bud. The plants are in a closet now instead of the cabinet. The plants are like 30 to 40 iches buy the heat is way to hot now like 90 to 91. I no it's to hot But I can't really do anything about it. And I have a fan on the light To try to cool it down

Your local megastore will have a handful of them you can just plug into a wall, or a computer fan and an ac to dc converter. Duct out the hot air through a carbon scrubber if you don't want a lot of smell. :peace:
