I have a go bag; which essentially is what it sounds like. A bag that is always ready and right there. You can grab it and go in case of an emergency. My oldest brother carries his bag with him at all times. I leave mine in my truck most of the day and then bring it inside at night.

My bag:

2 Surefire Defender LED Flashlights & extra batteries
Basic toiletries
First aid kid
2 Benchmade knives
$2000 cash
Suunto Watch
Raincoat
Shorts, 2 t-shirts, 2 pairs of boxers, 2 pairs of socks
Hiking shoes
Kind bars (cereal bars)
2 Nalgene bottles of water
2 lighters
Aspirine
Cellphone charger
Carabiners
Insect repellent
200 rounds of .40 & .45 ammo

Some things come out of the bag and others go in when I go back to the U.S.

i live in costa rica most of the time. if i gotta go then it means i need to get out of the country most likely. Cash is always king in an emergency. Especially down here. Rest is pretty self explanatory; if i gotta go on foot...these are some rough jungles. carabiners carry my shoes, insect repellent, and flashlight. small black diamond bag.

air, shelter, water, food. i hear ya. i think about how to move fast and light. pandemic, panic, riots, loss of services...i'm locking down my house. if i need to go then it's to put distance between me and my house. sometimes, the last thing you wanna do is be on the move.

I made one after Fukushima. It contained:

Potassium Iodide pills
batteries
matches
hoody
rope
first aid kit
.38
bullets
combo crank radio/flashlight
lighters
knives

But them I ran out of batteries and took them out, then slowly chipped away at some other items until the whole bag was dismantled. I've kinda come to terms that if shit goes down, I'm probably a goner.

I can't abandon the girls in my basement. If it hits the fan I am going to hunker down and bug in. I have enough smoke to last me 3+ years, and i'm growing more every day. I have a lot of food and water saved up in my pantry too.

I keep the pieces to my Go game in mine. Why do you guys need all that shit? Am I playing Go wrong?

Edit: Heard it takes a lifetime to master, but I never imagined.
