PICS in a min. I have always had my tent right next to my sliding door with it open all the time. For much of the night the tent is open. I thought this would give me a lotta fresh air.

I might have been wrong.

Last night I took a 6 in duct booster and stuck it on the intake. I ran ducting right out to the sliding door. I powered her on.

I checked this morning and I had the most explosive night by far of growth I have ever had. Yeha, that nice.

I am in week 4 today so I am expecting grwoth but I got a good jump with some good infused co2 from the outside. I swear I can tast the fresh airs quality from what I thought was fresh room air. Lol.

Pics are coming, my camera is being charged.

Active intake seems nicer. I gove it 2 thumbs up.:fire:

heres a pic. Only a daddy could tell but last night was explosive and here I thought I had enough intake with a passive system and large exhaust.

damnit cant seem to post pic, i will try later.

Yup, circulation is much greater when its piped in rather then a door just being open.

i can't seem to get my arms around this one. if you have an active exhaust doesn't almost as much air have to enter the room as exits it? otherwise you're pulling a complete vacuum and eventually your exhaust fan would fail.

alternatively, if you have an active intake doesn't some of the air have to escape via something other than the exhaust?

and don't you want a properly sized passive intake to allow for a partial vacuum, which is what you want to control odors.

The exhaust is huge for the tent.

4x4x6.5 tent. THe ehaust fan also cools the light and filters the air. It is a 430 cfm inline fan. It sucks in the sides of the tent. Air came in from the intake (passive) and the cracks in the tent vents and so on. It was extrmely negative plus i also scrub the ai inside with a sepaerat fan and filter combo.

It pulled a lot of air through.

Now though i am pushing air directly from the outside of apt rather than the tent sittign right next to the door. It is a guaranteed plus but I thought not that much greater.,

However when i checked this morning I swear their was definate love going on as only a continous obser ver would notice. IDK, lol. I do know the air now comong through the intake is colder and smells like outside and not the inmediate air around the tent.

Yes I still have negative intake and the tent sides are pulled in. The intake is only a duct booster.

I read the greatest mistake indooor growers makle ins ventilation. I hope I get that beat.

Nothing really to boggle any, Just some good news.:)

Maybe your plants were happy because they got pollinated from a close by grow.

Also, there is most likely more CO2 in your house than there is outside.
