Who works for pg&e or knows a lot about there billing.

Ok s I rent in a house and I have an agreement to pay my indoor setups electricity separately. Now iv already don't the math on paper to calculate my usage costs of the lights if they were running on baseline usage the whole time, but baselines 14 cents per kwh but then the over 300% baseline is we're most of the kwh were used and it's like 35 cents per kwh!!

Now my question is iv also noticed generation and distributions are each pretty close to half of the total cost. So when I'm calculating my kwh,s and then cost to run per month, which one am I actually calculating?? Distribution or generation. The power company has so many other charges it's hard to keep track.

What iv done is made a percentage of transmission and distribution and all the other little fees of the generation value so I can just plug in the percentage of whatever my generations and calculate my other side fees .

But my base calculation is 98 dollars a month for my roughly 2000watts but by my calculations I'll be paying doing closer to 180-200, is this normal?

well heres the thing....if im reading that right your saying you live with others and you guys get charged extra when you hit a certain amount of electricity usage in a month?? if im understanding that right then its up to you guys to decide if you should be charged at the normal rate or at the high rate....id say hey you guys are gonna smoke some (assuming thats true) so since your all using electricity too you should charge me at maybe 20 cents and that seems fair...because they are doing their part to raise the cost to that higher amount too so why should your whole grow be charged at the higher amount....or am i on the entirely wrong page??

no you didnt understand what i was talking about which is why im trying to talk to sombody who works in this industry.

if you look at the power bill its vary simple to see that just calculating your total kwh's by how much they charge per kw dosent give you how much they are actually charging you there are several other fees being added on.. i guess iv figured out my own problem but i was trying to get some reassurance
