Who uses Root Riot plugs? I'm just wondering what method may have worked better than others using the Root Riot plugs. Just toss the seeds in and let em pop? water glass/paper towel then put into the root riot. Hoping some of you use them

Thank you!
I do, I just started growing last year and ruined many fine $$$$ seeds, now what works for me is this , my daughter the nurse brings me these 4" petri dish, I cut a piece of paper towel put in it, wet it with Arrowhead Distilled water, put 4 seeds, roll them on the wet paper towel , I put the lid on the petri dish to keep the moisture in, I do NOT cover the seeds in water, instead there's enough water to keep the sides of the seeds wet but covering them, place the dishes in a piece of aluminum foil and sit it on top of my refrigerator, that fucker is always hot on the rear top of it.
now for the plugs you ask about, I bought them in the kit with the plastic dome/tray , I put them into a sealed large bag and I added a bag of MYKOS mycorrhizae and moisten them with a spray bottle, in 48 to 72 hours ALL my babies are popped with a 1" tap, I use my wife's old pair of hair tweezers, I take a plug and I ripped it down in 2 pieces along the middle hole, I gently put my tap seed in it like I was making a sandwich, put both halves together and put them in the tray , and then I cover the top with a bit of my happy frog soil , and do not put on the lights, in 24 to 48 hours they all pop out, as SOON as they do, then I turn on my 6500k 2 bulb fluorescent and they start growing like wild. you need to be ready with a growing bucket and you soil ready to go by the time this all happens as the stems grow TOO fast and will break.
those plugs covered with those granules of mycorrhizae make those roots VERY happy in 48 hours the roots are all over the bottom of that tray, oh add enough water to the bottom of the tray to have water evaporate and create a nice humid environment.
oh if you want to try something other than the petri dishes, I just saw a post from south america , and this dude does the paper towel in the paper dish , covers it with another paper dish so that the top dish sits snug into the bottom one, he staples it on the edge and HANGS the dish over his refrigerator, he says he gets STRAIGHT tap roots that then go into the grow plugs without having to cut open the plug. what ever works and does NOT brake those delicate tap roots floats my boat
