Who still does 24hrs dark to kick off flower?

I have a friend that's been growing for 20 years that swears by it, i use to do it but now I just flip 12/12.

Btw I had that exact same tent, I can tell by the pink drip tray lol looks like it was intentionally from the factory and not a 1-off mistake.

I used to but not for a while, I started noticing when the light come on the yellowing was a little excessive around the tip shoots/growth.

I'd like to compare one against another to see if there's substance to this?

Well I didn’t do the 24 hours of dark and I don’t think it took them any longer to turn than “normal” I’ve since out grown that tent and had to get a taller one haha forgot how much they stretch when you flip them. Definitely over crowded but all three ended up being females so they all get to live and I’ll just do one plant at a time moving forward.

I've done it , it works because flower hormones build up quicker without light.

I do 48h of darkness. I've accidentally left them off for a lot more and the go yellow on the growth tips, but they do green back up pretty quickly

It's a good way to get pathogens like PM with excess moisture for 24-48 hours.

I've done it and it doesn't do anything positive since you always plan when to switch to flower either way and you gain nothing other than feeding your own head.

It's a positive for plants to not transpire properly for 48h hours? It doesn't make any sense IMO.
