I actually lived like 10 min outside of vegas for six years as a kid, even though I was born here in CA.
I love the desert, but not alot to do.
 
i love the desert too. especially the "red painted" mountains through out northern nevada, arizona and southern utah. theyre beautiful

oh well when it storms here its amazing. the lightning here isnt like cali. it come straight down and BIG. i love it here. dont get me wrong, but i do miss certain aspects of cali. hooo hummm

Like the Orca Avi Urca.
Quite often we have them actually come through town - one year my wife was lucky enough to see a big cow kill a pacific sea lion literally yards away from the dock & then teach her calf some of the finer techniques of hunting/feeding on marine mammels. Cool, but no pics though.:-(

My wife has a friend from the UK visiting and she had never seen ranch. Boggles my mind as I've been exposed to it my entire life. If your a dorito fan I guess they have a flavor called cool original, over here it's called cool ranch. Neato
