Hey snow thanks for the info on the carbon filter. I do have another question. I have been growing a new bag seed strain these are the four I just grew. Are the white tops indicating that they are males or is that just the strain that does this?? Im thinking all males because there is no white hairs after two weeks just one started growing balls ant the rest have these white growths ate the top of each budding site. I just need one male not 4 hoping tomorrow I will see some hairs on at least one of them but just need you opinion on the sex....
Dude, I don't see anything wrong with that plant. If you need DWC specific help you're going to be better served in the hydroponics sub-forum. I haven't had the opportunity to work with a straight DWC.ok so.. im kind of lost now... i changed the water... ran some water thru the rockwool... i adjusted the ph... had the ec PERFECT (so i thought; 2.0 bcuz my baby is about a month). nutes, i use flora nova 7-4-10.. i honestly got rid of the older one because it gettin an better... and with hydro u see pretty fast results ofcourse.. now im deaing with one... no spots really.. SOME brown and the Stems are def brown.. but it doesnt look too far gone so im just here begging for help.. do i clean the resv wit peroxide ..i do use have cal mag.. im using a ten gallon resv tank.. my light its about 3ft high.. i have a fan blowing cool air in... the temp range btwn on and off isnt too great... bout 6degress (could this be a problems). as u can see im confused.. i can babble able this for days yo.. some pics. ANYONE HELP!!!

I have no idea. Never seen anything like this before.I also Need some help!!! here is my issue, it isn't totally easy to see in my pics, I did the best I could, but on some buds from my harvest, I noticed a few white specs on the HAIRS, not so much on the buds. I only noticed them sporadically here and there, very subtle, and at 1st i thought it coulda been tiny pieces of perlite that got kicked up by the fan, and stuck in the sticky bud. Many buds were clean, but I set aside one that was the most prominent to take a few pics of, with the hope that someone would know what it is. So the bud in these shots is the worst one on the whole plant. Oh ya, also, this was 1 of 4 plants, but no others had these specs, (if that helps for diagnosing).
The specs are hard to see, look in the most foreground part of the bud, some on top too, but i tried to get the spots most "centered" in the shot
You can use storage solution, designed specifically for this purpose, but for the most part anything that isn't filtered water will work fine. You can use your nutrient solution if you're not running organics.i need help? that is the question, no really .I dont know how to ,or better to say is:" what liquid do i,. put on that little sponge in the cap of my ec/ph probe? anyone
Could me a moisture issue at the root zone, mold, or just a very stretched plant. 20w florescent bulbs may be kept closer than 2 inches, so push that down a little bit maybe more like just further than 1 inch if the heat is tolerable at that distance. As the plant grows it should fill out. If there is a root issue then they will die soon. Rockwool can be a little tricky at first...My sprouts are in rockwell and the are dark and thicker at the but at the bottom it is skinnier and lighter. Why? Using regular 20w flourescant bulbs 2 inches away. Iam using tooth picks to prop them. the question is what can I do to solve these problems> The other 2 are fine. the fans are blowing on them 24/7.
fuck!! I was hoping for at least one female out of the four. Oh well back to the lab.
Hey bro I would recommend the 18/6. plants shut down growth after like 18 19 hours anyway so theres no need to waist energy on your bill just do the 18/6 and try to keep the same night time when you go 12/12 your plants will do fine........i need some help i just joined the site here found it looking for some answers online.well bout 5 weeks ago i ordered some aurora indica seeds from nirvana 5 fems.they arrived in bout 9 nines i had intentions of saving them and growing them outside well we had 2 nice days bout month ago and like a fool i started my seeds.Well the weather has been horrible so i've had them indoors which i have never done always worked outdoors guerilla style well i went to wal mart bought i cheap flouro light bout 2 feet long put it on em for bout 3 half weeks now finally dropped it right down on em 3 days ago noticed improvements but read some threads went out bought 4 23 watt cfl's 6500k put on em in a rubbermaid box should i run it 24 hrs on em or 18/6 they look weak 4 leaves or so apiece. oh and there's a small fan in with em and vented.miracle gro dirt. Can i expect to see improvements?and wht schedule should i do dont want to flower them jus grow so i can clone put clones outdoors. wow that was alot ne help would be grateful
The CFL bulbs are going to help out a lot. Keep them as close as you can to the plants. I agree that an 18/6 light schedule is appropriate for you.i need some help i just joined the site here found it looking for some answers online.well bout 5 weeks ago i ordered some aurora indica seeds from nirvana 5 fems.they arrived in bout 9 nines i had intentions of saving them and growing them outside well we had 2 nice days bout month ago and like a fool i started my seeds.Well the weather has been horrible so i've had them indoors which i have never done always worked outdoors guerilla style well i went to wal mart bought i cheap flouro light bout 2 feet long put it on em for bout 3 half weeks now finally dropped it right down on em 3 days ago noticed improvements but read some threads went out bought 4 23 watt cfl's 6500k put on em in a rubbermaid box should i run it 24 hrs on em or 18/6 they look weak 4 leaves or so apiece. oh and there's a small fan in with em and vented.miracle gro dirt. Can i expect to see improvements?and wht schedule should i do dont want to flower them jus grow so i can clone put clones outdoors. wow that was alot ne help would be grateful
If the WW are the biggest plant in there then you can top them now. It's never too late to top, you just hack off more nodes from the top. Most people top when there are between 3 and 5 nodes. When should i top these Wonder Womans so the littler ones can catch up?? Or what is the best time to do that? Wanna do SOG with the 12 i got here then next time ill be doing more for sure. I just started with only the 4 Wonder Woman clones then my buy got me the rest of those recently, FYI, 5 rasberry cough in the dixies, two OG Kush in blue cups (ones all droopy ass ), and one NYC PD. I dont want to top the WW too late and mess something up tho. I've read you dont want to let the "grow" too much or you wont yield as much or something??? this is my first grow so
I NEED YOU TO SUCCEED!! +++rep all day, U GUYS ARE AWESOME!!

It looks like they are recovering a little but I still think your watering habits aren't helping.View attachment 1528563View attachment 1528562
so its been 2 weeks n i jus wanna no if i can get sum healthy plants from these er wut they jus real small for how long theyve had thnx
Early buds have small white pistils that form. Hermies will have a combination of "balls" and pistils. You should probably google your question to get some pictures.Quick question . What do do signs of early buds look like . And what do hermies look like 2 weeks. Into flowering
No, I mean watering properly. I covered this for you ages ago.by my watering habits rnt helpn do u mean i shood water more?
Burn them in the bbq.hi there can anyone give any advice on packing the trimmings at harvest ready to dump, i live in the city so i need a discreet way, i dont have a car so i cant just put them in black bags and walk down the street with them and easy way to compress????
I don't but I bet Google does.does anyone know of a gorilla grow journal id love to read one
I totally agree with you on the research thing man for sure. I'm deffenitely new and am up til like 4am most nights watching vids and reading stuff. I just like to get ppl's word from experience is all. And looking at your journal pics and stuff I just wanted to pick your brain a bit I will keep researching every day for sure!! Do you have any favorite books, sites (besides this one, this place is AWESOME!) articles that you could possibly share with me?? I swear sometimes i feel like i've hit "the end of the internet" and start just searching in circlesWell... for starters, in a true SOG you don't top your plants... So that's not what you are really doing here.
You can count whatever nodes you like to count. As far as the best spot... There is no best spot. Each plant, each phenotype, each stage of growth will have its own best. This is subjective and up for you to decide on.
I think you've ignored doing a lot of the basic homework when it comes to growing. Training your plants and planning for flowering are very important processes that need to be handled appropriately. I cannot grow your pot for you, so it is up to you to educate yourself on this matter. Educating yourself is not asking someone to tell you how to do it. The information is available, and this is one of those things that requires practice and research.
Look at other grows. Do some experimentation. Don't think you're going to do it perfect the first time... that your very first grow will never be bested. That is ridiculous.
So just top your plants and see what happens. Check out other pictures from other growers in the topping guides (easily found on this, and many other, sites).
