Does anyone know if its bad to bubble organic nutes for more than 24 hours before use? I have been bubbling them going on 48hrs and I dont plan to water until 72 hours will this be ok? I got trigger happy bc I was bored and put them in the barrel early.

Should be ok with the added O2 but be sure and double check the ph as it can vary while it sits

The O2 will dissapate out rather quickly I would leave the airstone running till you use em
But if there is any doubt throw em out and start over (which is what I would actually do by the way) The nutes I use cost so little that throwing a batch out is a nothing

they cost alot....im gonna try ur chemical friends next time lol. Also its not an airstone its just a pump thats pushing water to move it around. Im not bubbling it. Should I get an airstone would that work better? I know i said I was bubbling but I was just getting the impression lol.

I've got a closet in my room that my parents go in a lot I already have 4 UV lights the long ones (the emit a blue light). I was wondering if that would be enough to grow and if my parents would notice?

UV lights are great for adding resins to your plant but will not grow them properly, you should consider looking into a pc cabinet grow there are lots here you can learn from
and if you use UV they have to be far away or they burn the plant
Any advice would be helpful.....i have a 6 x 3 x 5 box with two nl5s bout 8-10weeks in. ive been vegging them with cfcs for the time, and was wondering how i should go about flowering them, i have limited funds so goin out to get a hps w/ballast is sort of out of the question. I changed the cycle to 12, 12 a few days ago and have 2 150watt incandescent grow bulbs & 3 floresents goin as well. do you think that this set up for flowering will be to hot in K? also i have a small train wreck to can i flower her with a red light?

airstone will oxygenate the water better/faster and every one reading this it's a good thing

Get rid of the incandesants they add to much heat and only good for infrared light, use the flouro tubes for side light best if they are dual spectrum (one red bulb and one blue bulb) Get a 65 watt 2700K CFL available for $16 at home depot for each plant (so 3 if your adding thetrainwreck) and if that is too much you could get away with 47 watters they are like $8 walmart has em
Next part is very important and will take some time but I promise it's worth it I need you to read my Calling All NooB Growers thread and then follow my NooB Advice thread, the info in there will help you to learn my way of growing that makes using the cheap lights easier
I'm adding these pics from one of my local students grows to show you I'm not full of it, he has 2 23 watt cfl's and 2 dual 24 inch T5's and yes your plants can look like this if you follow my methods and learn to ignore the myths

i have sativa dominant strain, only believe this cause it is so tall and lengthy. but at 7 weeks of bud, about 30% of pistils are red, and some trichs cloudy. would i be able to harvest in say a week? i understand that is short, but its gettin awful hard to wait with this being my first

and to help the waiting it is totally ok to take a small test bud and try it out we all do it
in the end the choice is yours

well if it IS sativa, I would wait till 1/4 of the bud is amber so if all are milky right now then flush it real good and stop feeding and harvest in about 10 days when amber appears. If its an indica you want 100% amber color. This ensures you get the most out of the type of bud you are growing. IF your plant is tall and the leaves are thin and long u prolly are growing a sativa.

today we started the flowering period, the plants were from 24cm to 39cm. is that fine ?
the lights are on 12hours day so they can start the flowering process, then it takes usually 9 weeks , is that right ?

you can actually go 12/12 from seed so yes your good
the 9 weeks thing is subjective can be anywhere from 8 to 14 weeks depending, lot of new growers chop early, best to harvest when they are ready and you tell that by looking at the trichs with a microscope

I see 'em at the pet store and are very cheap. Like $20 bucks and under.
They're heat lamps with UV for the little critters to get cal
I was wondering how much extra heat they'd create.
The highest 1 I saw was 40 watts.
I run a 400 hps and keep it about 16" away, I'm guessing I'd have to keep it the same hight away as the hps?
