According to a recent (yesterday) poll, about 50% are for health care reform, 40% are against, and the rest are undecided. Before the right wing lie machine kicked in, over 70% were in favor. As people get a chance to actually understand the bill (this assumes that they are willing to do so), it is expected that the 50% will go back up to about 70%.

If the demmies do their work explaining the bill to the people, many folks will be pissed come this fall as they realize that the repukes handed them a bag of lies. The repukes are goin' down! Bye bye baggers!

I voted no. People should not be required to pay for it. We should just stop stealing people's money and forcing them to give it to complete strangers.

WASHINGTON — More Americans now favor than oppose the health care overhaul that President Obama signed into law Tuesday, a USA TODAY/Gallup Poll finds — a notable turnaround from surveys before the vote that showed a plurality against the legislation.

By 49%-40%, those polled say it was "a good thing" rather than a bad one that Congress passed the bill. Half describe their reaction in positive terms — as "enthusiastic" or "pleased" — while about four in 10 describe it in negative ways, as "disappointed" or "angry."

The largest single group, 48%, calls the legislation "a good first step" that needs to be followed by more action. And 4% say the bill itself makes the most important changes needed in the nation's health care system.

"After a century of striving, after a year of debate, after a historic vote, health care reform is no longer an unmet promise," Obama declared in a celebration at the Interior Department auditorium with members of Congress, leaders of advocacy groups and citizens whose personal stories were cited during the debate. "It is the law of the land."

People are slowly starting to realize the truth about both the bill and republicans, its backfiring on them as people dont like their lawmakers to act like 6 year olds throwing temper tantrums. They spent today submitting amendments to the bill and the best republicans could come up with is keeping sex offenders from getting free viagra. Why werent they trying to get the death panels out of the bill? Because it didnt exist. It was one of the many scare tactics that was nothing but bullshit. On top of that now you have all these threats being fueled by Beck, Limbaugh, Bachmann, Palin, and dozens of other right wing nut jobs. Why the FBI isnt hauling these nuts off to guantanamo bay is beyond me.

They said this would be Obama's Waterloo. They said if we passed this, the sky would fall.

The real effects of this bill will be phased in gradually, becoming the normal way of life so smoothly and easily that many may not even notice or care. And when the people slowly come to the realization that this was necessary, it will be anyone but Obama's Waterloo.

Obmha and his dem followers are not for America. This bill goes against everything this country was based on. They should be treated as enemies of the state and dealt with accordingly.

Marijuana grower begging the FBI to pay a visit......priceless.

An economics professor at a local college made a statement that he had never failed a single student before, but had once failed an entire class. That class had insisted that Obama's socialism worked and that no one would be poor and no one would be rich, a great equalizer.

The professor then said, "OK, we will have an experiment in this class on Obama's plan". All grades would be averaged and everyone would receive the same grade so no one would fail and no one would receive an A....

After the first test, the grades were averaged and everyone got a B. The students who studied hard were upset and the students who studied little were happy.. As the second test rolled around, the students who studied little had studied even less and the ones who studied hard decided they wanted a free ride too so they studied little. The second test average was a D! No one was happy.

When the 3rd test rolled around, the average was an F. The scores never increased as bickering, blame and name-calling all resulted in hard feelings and no one would study for the benefit of anyone else. All failed, to their great surprise, and the professor told them that socialism would also ultimately fail because when the reward is great, the effort to succeed is great but when government takes all the reward away, no one will try or want to succeed.

Never believe what the media tells you bro. Anybody that thinks this is a good plan is a government educated fool. Don't take my word for it do some research!:cuss::cuss::cuss::cuss::cuss::cuss::cuss::cuss::cuss:

Your saying that the bill will be a normal way of life? Thats until you pay your taxes every year and realize that you owe a penalty for not taking the HC plan. You will be reminded, ever year, that you owe money for something on your taxes.

Gee, I seem to get reminded every year that I owe taxes.

Now go learn the difference between "your" and "you're"
