I had about 6 seeds 2 weeks ago used the paper towel method and all but one have shown a tap root.

Now im going to plant this in my promix soil and wait for it to sprout.

During the two weeks Ive waited to see one seed show a root I thought to myself maybe I should just go hydro and forget all this messy soil.

Wouldnt it be easier and and quicker going hydro, once ive got my nutes and ph levels dialed in it will be a whole better experience than growing in soil.

Only thing is im totally stealth so dont need the noise if there is any of water pumps etc.

What do you guys think.

maybe just go DWC, or even aeroponics???

I've used Ebb & Flow for years, never had a problem. Whenever I need to start from seed ( I keep a mother plant and clone from it.) I just put one seed about 1/8th inch deep into a ! !/2 inch rockwool cube and put that into a netpot with Hydroton and put it under my clone light (Metal Hailide) If the seed is good you'll see a sprout within 5 or 6 days. The paper towel method is dangerous... You have to handle the seed after it sprouts... that usually kills them.

Besides.... you never know what ELSE is in the dirt!

Thanks Busmike I think you got it just right, handling the seeds isnt worth it to dangerous, I might need to start over. Kive and learn!!! The hard way

Bon, what setup you got for a aero grow, DIY job or you bought something ready made?

I did. Hempy buckets though. I might try E&F next. I just don't like soil. Hempy buckets are the best of both words (at least to me).

my first grow i started in soil. i know i could have done hydro. in reality, its not so much about experience, its about how much money and time you have to invest (unless you are a complete fucking dumb ass). i know that experience will definitely help in the future, and with time my plants (and anyone elses) will get perpetually better with each grow, but im doing my first grow now, and my plants look a lot better then some peoples who have had many grows, with lessor equipment. the learning curve might be a bit steeper with strait hydro, but anyone with a good head on his shoulders and enough cash can have a very succesful crop.

Well I have been doin custom fab on cars for a while so I decided to take my own swing at it. It is done with rubbermaids but very clean everything is painted black sealed and pretty much to spec. I built the whole thing just finishing up the mylar dark room and some other small points in the area...
