Thank u bricktop..u always come thru with an anwser!I tried The Church once when so many people here were raving how it was the greatest thing since sliced bread.
I do not recall how long it took to finish, but it was not much different than the breeder information ... but everyone's mileage will vary some depending on setup, conditions and if you happen to get a different phenotype or two in the mix. It was easy to grow, it produced fairly well, it was slightly better than mediocre smoke/potency as professional genetics go ... but as bad as that might sound I do consider it to be what I call a 'value strain' for people with lower budgets or for beginners. What you get in relation to what you pay is really not a bad value at all. It beats commercial so to some people it will seem like killer weed. Being easy to grow it reduces the risks of a major malfunction resulting in massive or total failure and even if that occurs you are not out much money.
wow..shitty luck on those 2!mine defintly doesnt look like that!mine 3 a half feet tall, and very smelly..and sticky..that sucks to hear!i grew both sharksbreath and coletrain as freebies. the coletrain was a hermie and i was pissed because it was real promising in veg. the sharksbreath was some kind of mutant and the end smoke was decent in the stone department but VERY boring in the smell and flavor department. when i say mutant i mean the fan leaves had stems that were no lie like 8 inches long, the first 4 nodes had fan leaves that only had 3 leathery fingers and the middle one was seriously almost 4 inches wide. this plant was only 22'' at harvest, so you can see how these proportions are odd. the leaves were just strange in appearance throughout the whole plant. the leaf to bud ratio sucked also which probably didn't help the flavor very much. i ended up cloning the thing because i had just set up a new space and wanted to try my hand at cloning. the clone less fucked up than the mother was, probably because i took the clone from the most normal branch i could find.
hopefully it will fatten up in the las weeks..keep me posted!I've got Cole Train in flower now. About 6 weeks along. Not impressed so far. Kinda skimpy and not a very strong smell. I'm hoping it's going to be one of those quality over quantity situations. The buds do look nice though, very frosty.
