Who grows with CFL'S and has successful grows / yield ..

If you have the lights horizontal, you need good reflectors on them and keep the lights within an inch or 2 of plants in flower. If you put them vertical between your plant, like a circle around the light, all the better. You lose a little light when you reflect it.
I have seen .5 gram per watt all the way up to 1 gram per watt with a dialed in grow using cfl or flouros. If all went right, you could pull several oz.

Well i have three pots lined up next to eachother
but i have no reflector, just got an e40 hanger
so i have two 125w cfl's ( dual spec ).. so obviously going to be hanging them vertically
so what i'm asking is that should i place each bulb seperately over each pot, but then the one in the middle will be getting light from the sides, not above
because two pots will have a bulb right above them, but the one in the middle will have nothing , just lights on the side
will it be better for me to put the lights in the gaps like..

You want the light coming from the sides of the cfl for sure. Less light comes out of the bottom of it than from the sides. If you can arrange it you want the 3 plants in a circle or triangle around the light, so 1 light vertical down lower and 1 above it vertical. If you do not have room for that, then have them in a row as in picture and the lights are in between the three plants.
Do not have any light above the plants, lower the light until it's base is even with the top of the plant, and you could go lower still. This is when they are flowering, but in veg it is usually better to have the light source overhead to encourage vertical stretch. But peeps veg with the lights to the side as well.

and can you make a picture on what you ment by the ' triangle ' ?
i know u mean assort the pots into a triangle basically they will have a hollow shape in the middle

One light hung lower than the other, but in almost the same spot in the middle so one gets canopy other gets underside.
Also be careful with those 125w dual spec bulbs, I'm hanging a couple vertically too and they do kinda get hot to the touch. They don't really throw off heat but I burnt a few leaves with it just resting on em for a few seconds.

Don't let any one tell u cfl's are rubbish. I've seen 120gs (dry) pulled off Dutch passions auto blueberry using dwc, and a 250w cfl flowering bulb...

I have one large 90/10 I/S. It is a pretty big plant, that I raised from seed. I had four others but they all maled grrrr.
Any way on the CfL's I use two 1" PVC's to mount the light fixtures. They are used so I can change, and quickly move them up or down. I use 4(ea), 14W 5000K nice and close to plants. Directly above them are 6(ea), 26W 2700K. The lumen from the14W's is 3600. From the 26W's the lumen are 9600.
Putting it altogether I have 13,200 lumen for one plant. Don't know about anyone else but I don't think you can use too much light, unless heat is an issue.

I wanted to wait until i had a couple harvests under my belt before giving my two cents...
I use pure cfl. my last auto i grew under about 175 true watt of 2700k with one 4000k bulb in the mix for fun. 100watts from 4, 25watt bulbs in a 4 way adjustable bulb holder thing (scientific) then the rest were used on the sides this plant yielded me just shy of an ounce dry 26 grams. now i added another 200 watts of cfl so im using over 300 watts on my current 25 day old auto. its all about light placement and it can be very annoying bc you will literally be adjusting lights daily. but my buds are dense enough. frosty enough and dank enough but one recommendation get at least 250-30 watts true cfl otherwise yields can be dissappointing at times

It's all about hitting plant potentials as far as yields. Lighting is a big part of that picture.

last winter I tried a CFL/LED bulb grow.....just for the fun of it
the CFL were 23 watt (100 watt equivalent) and ~10 watt LED bulbs (60 watt equivalent)
I used 12 bulbs, but most were the LED bulbs, just a few CFL's
they didn't get huge or dense, but did yield about 18 grams each

Cfl are better then nothing . any light will grow a plant. Can use a bunch of cell phone leds will grow as well. You get back what you put into it .

There's abt 3diff plants pictured above...But I average round 50-60days veg/training time give or take a few days depending on whatever...My current plant I went a lil smaller... Round 40days veg...Jus flipped light schedule to flower yesterday... Gotta Grow Journal goin in that section if you'd like to watch her progress...
