Snoop killed Tupac and Biggie.
He became a lion to deceive YOU.
Snoop works for the elite
and the evil energy that is trying to take over this world.

Well he's Not snoop lion anymore. He's back to himself. It didn't last long. I couldn't even finish the video he did reincarnation or whatever the name is. I LOVED seeing Damien Marley! He is the mother fuckin man! I'd love to meet him face to face one day.! Haha and if you watch Damien the whole time is looking at snoop like he's the biggest douche. But being the loving serving guy he is haha he just took him around and showed him The Truth. Snoop would start talking how he himself was the best rasta and rapper yada yada. His humility is really humbling... Haha! While all these local old timers and young guys could rap or whatever WAY better than snoop without music backing them!

BOOM AMEN!

As Paul says "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, and against the worldly governors, the princes of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness, which are in the high places." Ephesians 6:12

You're exactly right that's why JESUS CHRIST tells us to be the Salt and Light of the earth.

Haha oh yeah brother.!

Here you guys go listen to some Real "hip hop".
Aesop Rock all the way
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dbd4h1kaFlY

Logic is a very intelligent and broad minded individual, his lyricism and ability to paint pictures with his word is incredible. The song 'Gang Related' is written form his brothers perspective, the song 'Nikki' speaks for itself when you listen to it. There's a lot of references to drugs, crime and sex in his songs but its not done in the way of other rappers, a very conscious being.

Of course, Kendrick Lamar

Mos Def spittin' real shit when all people wanted to rap about was drugs and hoes

Someone I strongly recommend is Joey Bada$$. He does definitely use a lot of vulgar language and what not, however, this kid is only 20. He has an extremely open mind and puts forward a lot of important topics in a way that people who are even to the whole 'thug' rap thing will be able to absorb without seeing it as a lesson. Very 90's sounding aggressive but thought provoking music. 'Christ Conscious' is a little more self absorbant but that song just kills, 'Paper Trails' is amazing

Even in mainstream rap there's a lot of spiritual and open minded people these days, all music genres are full of great people, you just need to find them first

wouldn't let me embed videos too many of them :(

Big L people, highly underrated.
He is one of/if not the best lyricist I have ever heard. Focusing on rhymes and wordplay to deliver a song while having an impressive command of the english language, few can compete with him.

When I listen to rap, rhymes and wordplay are extremly important. What the actual fuck is the point of rapping if you cannot even rhyme properly?
That's what bothers me, highly appreciated rappers cannot even rhyme properly or- God forbid- rhyme two of the same words together... OR WORSE! Nigger with nigger...

Rhyming cannot be done all the time obviously.

"Big L is a crazy brother,and I'm a lady lover
A smooth kid that'll run up in your baby mother
I push a slick Benz, I'm known to hit skins
And get ends and commit sins with sick friends"

I been listening to a lot of the underachievers and Flatbush zombies lately, both groups come out of Brooklyn along with pro era and ASAP Mob forming the beast coast movement. FBZ and UA also come together and make a group called clockwork Indigo, the name being inspired by a weird acid trip they had while watching "A clockwork Orange"
