Who else chops and trims wet?

What difference do you notice between wet and dry trimming? I've done both I just find wet easier and less time consuming plus it contributes to slightly quicker drying so I can get it jarred slightly sooner. You can always have a little dry trim after wet trimming if you want to polish up a few buds
Terpenes are volatile organic compounds. They break down over time with exposure to the surrounding atmosphere. When I dry trim my buds smell better and the smell is more potent. Same applies to flavor. I've side by sided the process and the results were not close. If you have a drying space with absolute control over every variable you may be able to achieve great results wet trimming, but for me it isn't even a debate.

I've not done it side by side but I notice no difference. I mostly grow cheese type plants so they stink regardless. I use organic everything and flush so always smokes smoothes tastes good. I have a tent for drying and a 4 in 1 Aircon

the first time I dried trimmed it was bone dry in less than 48hrs, talk about harsh lol...now I keep my dry area on point so that never ever happens again so ya it’s not hard to do when it’s 25%rh outside and 30% inside and 85f in the drying area

Winter time is tough to slow dry. I use my bathroom to dry so I can control the humidity of the air flow being drawn past my drying buds in their custom dry box where I control the air flow also. I can speed it up or slow down the drying with simple environment control.
Of course, I always dry slow....

Maybe they lowered humidity really low or dried in a warm environment like a boiler cupboard. I only do that with test buds.
Test bud? What are you testing?

I'll admit. I've smoked fresh bud dried in a microwave. But it wasn't my weed. Absolutely horrible. I find weed less then 1 month in cure tastes and smokes like lighting up a twig pulled off a tree. Or smoking a hay bail.

Not Trying to hijack, but what does everyone feel about darkness before harvest? I'm going to water here shortly and then possibly harvesting tomorrow or the next day. So the question is do I water and harvest, or should I stick her in the dark and then harvest, or darkness, water, harvest?

I would water and chop after the dark cycle, no real need for extended dark period IMO.

I chop and quick dry plants in the oven, 350F for 4-5 hours. Then I cut the flowers off into a bucket of pH balanced H2O2 and store it in the the closet overnight. I’ll trim off the bigger leaves then lay the buds out on my picnic table to get that sun-dried flavor. After trimming the rest of the leaves I press the flowers between some heavy books to get that nice “dense nugget” look. It’s all organic and smokes like crushed velvet.
