Who are worse - thrips or mites?

Who are worse and why? Thrips or mites?

Can both be killed same way?

Mites are much worse. Thrips can be taken out with one or two applications of spinosad.

Mites build up immunity to most products

I've heard when mites appear, it's game over unless you start fighting them at the very beginning.

But is there some kind of chemical that wipes out even spider mites? If plants are vegging, then there has to be something which doesn't kill the plant itself. Or what?

Prevention is the best weapon against pests

Mites, they spread so damn fast.

Mites for sure, have had both and thrips went bye bye in 3 sprays of spinosad. mites don't Fing die!

I got rid of mites and thrips on the same huge plant when I moved it in from outside a year ago. Brought it into the shop and dosed it three times, three days apart, with a mix of neem oil and Safer's Insecticidal soap in warm water.

I did a real thorough job on it tho and had a 500w shop light off to the side so I could make sure that not a single leaf got missed top or bottom. Miss one infected leaf and the buggers come back with a vengeance.

She went on to give me lots of good bud in the grow room and I never saw a bug after treatment.

spinosad works for mites to. I have it documented in my thread. Two foliar sprays and added it to my water twice for systemic action.

Spinosad is the shit. I even use it in my veggie garden.

Mites are easy to kill. The key is to keep misting the plants multiple times daily while simultaneously doing a 1:2 alcohol water treatment twice a day once every three days let sit for five minutes then rinse... Mites will not reproduce in rain. Do it light and often and there's no worry of rot.. Careful with the alcohol though, it will destroy trichs if you're in flower..

Yes, you can sulfur burn. The plants love it the insects,eggs,spores, ect hate it and it kills everything permanently until you get reinfested. The gas gets in, on, around ,under everything and even penetrates the egg structures in most insects [yes]mites included. Those that thumb their nose at sulfur burning typically do not understand the principals of it. It is smelly, it is corrosive to metal [YOU MUST WIPE EVERYTHING] down when your done. But it is very , very, inexpensive and it is VERY effective and can be used to basically sterilize through gassing between grows as a preventative. Did I mention the plants love it too.
