Who Am I ?

Can you guess who I am??

I was born in one country, raised in another.

My father was born in another country.
I was not his only child. He fathered several children with numerous women.

I became very close to my mother, as my father showed no interest in me.

My mother died at an early age from cancer.

Later in life, questions arose over my real name.

My birth records were sketchy and no one was able to produce a legitimate, reliable birth certificate.

I grew up practicing one faith but converted to Christianity, as it was widely accepted in my country, but I practiced non-traditional beliefs and didn't follow Christianity, except in the public eye under scrutiny.

I worked and lived among lower class people as a young adult, disguising myself as someone who really cared about them.

This was before I decided to get serious about life and embarked on a new career.

I wrote a book about my struggles growing up. It was clear to those who read my memoirs that I had difficulties accepting that my father abandoned me as a child.

I became active in local politics in my 30's then with help behind the scenes, I literally burst onto the scene as a candidate for national office in my 40's. they said I had a golden tongue and could talk anyone into anything. That reinforced my conceit.

I had a virtually non-existent resume, little work history, and no experience in leading a single organization. Yet I was a powerful speaker and citizens were drawn to me as though I was a magnet and they were small roofing tacks.

I drew incredibly large crowds during my public appearances. This bolstered my ego.

At first, my political campaign focused on my country's foreign policy. I was very critical of my country in the last war and seized every opportunity to bash my country.

But what launched my rise to national prominence was my views on the country's economy. I pretended to have a really good plan on how we could do better and every poor person would be fed and housed for free.

I knew which group was responsible for getting us into this mess..It was the free market, banks and corporations. I decided to start making citizens hate them and if they were envious of others who did well, the plan was clinched tight.

I called mine " A People's Campaign" and that sounded good to all people.

I was the surprise candidate because I emerged from outside the traditional path of politics and was able to gain widespread popular support.

I knew that, if I merely offered the people 'hope, together we could change our country and the world.

So, I started to make my speeches sound like they were on behalf of the downtrodden, poor, ignorant to include "persecuted minorities" like the Jews. My true views were not widely known and I needed to keep them unknown, until after I became my nation's leader.

I had to carefully guard reality, as anybody could have easily found out what I really believed, if they had simply read my writings and examined thouse people I associated with.

I'm glad they didn't. Then I became the most powerful man in the world. And the world learned the truth.

Who am I ??

When I first read this I was thinking Obama and I'm sure plenty of other Americans will be too.

Lol. The first half describes a generic bad childhood, the middle part probably at least 50% of politicians, and the last part any generic socialist politician. Adolph Hitler? I also see a little Tony Blair in there.

People either agree with you already, so they join in your little jerk-fest, or they don't, and they disagree. Nobody sensible is changing their minds based on this, so you posted this thing out here because you want everybody to see how politically savvy you are. Did you even write it? Because if you did, it's a terrible piece of writing.
You try to pass it off as a logical argument then toss in: "This bolstered my ego." or "That reinforced my conceit." Did either of them actually say that? Or did you just decide they must have felt that and put words in their mouths?
If you need to be dishonest to bolster your argument you don't have an argument.

I agree with the sentiment: Obama has a fanatical following, which gives him way too much power.
But this kind of crap writing doesn't help anybody. This is for mass e-mails between 'Good Ole' Boys' who want to pat themselves on the back for hating Obama.

Just a thought...if you don't know if they actually said that, then maybe you should examine why you would jump to the conclusion they didn't. Even though you took a backhanded and I would say even more cowardly approach to recriminating his argument than just accusing him of making it up, you still did so. Then after admitting you have no idea if they actually said those words, you still feel empowered to lecture him on dishonesty.

I find your entire argument to be nothing more than mental masturbation. At least until your second to last statement that shows there is a glimmer of hope that you can see past the lunacy that is the love affair in this country with an inept, inexperienced, dangerous progressive thug.

I have done my research BirdTooth, have you? And yes, if you want to discredit me then go ahead, feel free. History books are everywhere. Have a great day.

Considering we are talking about two extremely ambitious men, I'm going to bet that neither of them would be foolish enough to tell everybody how something "reinforced their conceit".
People with "golden tongues" don't say stupid little things like that, so yes, I am accusing the author of that document of putting words into the mouths of these men.

I made pretty clear what I thought he exaggerated, you just misunderstood my post.
I don't deny that they apply to Obama and Hitler, but I am pointing out that they don't only apply to those two.

In that case, I withdraw my second to last statement.
Why can't you just speak plainly? Mental masturbation is just some fucking buzzword, and you are the last person who should be using it.
"inept, inexperienced, dangerous progressive thug" Why can't anybody think for themselves anymore? What does this even mean?

I said that his fans are fanatic. His opponents are the same, and you are a perfect example. You just had to come at my post with something, so you picked some flimsy little talking point without actually thinking about the fact that maybe I was right that those lines were out of character for those men.

Research? Then produce where both of those men stated that something "reinforced their conceit", because that's the only "fact" I had a problem with.
Also, I'm not calling anything else's accuracy into question, just suggesting that your points are vague enough to be applied to more than just Obama and Hitler.

So, go ahead and bust out those history books for me.

This childish kind of imaginative comparison is fit for the Obama haters society alright. It's on about 5th grade level at best, sort of exactly where Obama haters level of comprehension comes down.

Isn't that all the elections are, a contest to see which bankster sanctioned politician has the most fanatics?

And also if YOU my friend are an Obama supporter then it shows where your head is as well. The village idiot can figure out that we are heading down a dangerous path. Not to say anybody is perfect and especially in the political world, but in my opinion, this guy is extremely dangerous.

Not all that is written has to come directly from the people's mouth obviously. For now at least there is still Freedom of Speech which I think all of us are practicing here. Yes there could be many that this comparison can be made with. I love my country and FEAR my government and especially NOW.

If I thought you were a reader, Med ... I'd recommend these two books to you:

How about explaining to us again how taxation is the price of liberty?
