whn shuld i transplant my plant

i started my plant off in a solo cup i should have just panted it to the final container. but its in a solo cup it has been 11days since i planted the seed in the cup. and 9 days since it has fully been out of the soil. also when counting how old it is do i go from when i planted the germinated seed in soil or count from when it broke through soil?

count from emerging from soil.

normally i transplant when they are about 2 weeks old. depending how fast they grow.

I would defiantly do it quick cuz mine was the same and the roots were all ready touching the bottom so I transplanted mine and messed up some roots and its growing like a champ now though I'd messed it up but it's ok

Most of us count by "days in dirt". I germ my seeds so they are above dirt from the git. So I would count your beans as 9 days in dirt. I start in solo cups also and leave them there for up to 2 weeks. I TP from solo to a 3-quart mini-pot at around 14 days in dirt (with a small daily watering seedlings should be twice as tall as the cup is wide, about 6 inches tall). After 2 weeks in the mini I FIM all indicas, wait a week to settle them back down, then TP into the final pot. NOTE -- FIM'ing at this point gives me up to 4 main colas and keeps the final height down to where I want it. BIG NOTE -- note that my decisions on timing, etc. are all geared to making the most of my set-up. I'm adjusting my grows to fit my needs. Not changing things because I have to. By this point (growing 8+ years and smoking almost 50 years) I have figured out what I want my plants to do, not reacting to any other stimuli. Easy living in the cold reaches of northern Michigan! Um... ok... Try this, now don't be afraid... I know the first time you can be scared.....
Before you water your solo cup/plant the next time...
Grab cup....
Turn it on side [not upside down, 90 degrees sideways to its grow...]
Gently squeeze the red cup...
Grab the center stalk just for balance [Gently pretend you have nice soft woman hands-and take your time]
Now, tilt the cup so where you are holding stalk will be pointed down...
The plant should just slide out
Fingers around stalk [between the pointer finger and the middle finger the plant is being held-upside down...]
How do the roots look?
If they are not wrapped around the bottom, gently plop it back into cup, and wait for better roots...
If they are wrapped around... time to transplant!
Good Luck!

When growing 12/12 from seed, the plants live in the solo cup until they show sex ( approx 24 days ) then the girls get repotted and any males get killed. Never had a problem transplanting after approximately 24 days.

Make sure the solo cups are completely dry ( ie needing watered ) and the root ball/plant will slide right out easy peezy.

I start seed in a clear solo cup inside a red cup. Want to see how the roots are doing just slide it out and look.
