image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg Hello and thank you for trying to help me. I grow DWC and I use the 3 part gh nutrient solution for my babies. I currently have a problem with my white widow x big bud plant. I grows faster than my Northern Lights x Skunk plant does but it doesn't look as healthy for some reason. It drops a little bit and I has these weird dots on it. It might be a deficiency but I don't think its lockout because I use h2o2 and I soakthe rites before every res change. I feed my other plants that are smaller that this one the same exact water with the same nutes and this one takes longer to rise in ph. Anyway here are some pics

I also do dwc with 3 part nutes. I'm no pro but when I've had these same signs its been a cal mag deficiency. Add cal/mag as directed and set ph to 6.0. Goodluck with your ladies.

So I should add cali Magic and raise the ph to 6.0?

He's suggesting 'cal-mag', a nutrient supplement that's actually composed of calcium nitrate and a magnesium salt. My suggestion is to simply get calcium nitrate itself and if you need magnesium use epsom salt.

I've been doing this successfully for a long time and they're very stable in solid form so they keep well, mixes easily and the ratios are infinitely adjustable.

Yes! That's what I would do. ttystikk is also correct but I have had bad luck with Epsom salt killing the girls. CaliMagic or CalMag is just easier for me. PH in veg should be at 5.8 PH in Flower 6.0. Good luck

you should always let ph swing up from your starting point to at least 6.3-6.5 if plants can handle it to cover your magnesium intake. If you are than you can bet on trying to use calmag as the spots seem to be a calcium deficiency. Are you using tap water? in some parts of the U.S., especially florida, the calcium in water can be very high. Also the calcium found in tap water is of a different molecular structure and not absorbed well by the plants. Calcium found in hydro nutrients are especially chelated for cannabis and other plants in general and are absorbed well. Your nutrients have calcium in them but if using tap water high in calcium as well it will create lockouts due to toxicity. H2O2 will not prevent lockouts. It simply helps prevent ph rising by making sure no algae can form. You want PH rising and DO NOT want it constant under 6 as this will lockout Magnesium. If you do add cal mag and the problem worsens, I would suggest using r.o. water to eliminate the extra calcium you get from tap. The worse part about hydro is the spread in uptake between calcium and magnesium on the scale. They are at opposite ends which means constant low ph will lockout mag, while constant higher ph will lock out calcium. This is why ph rise is important.

I don't use tap. I only use ro water and I only use h202 when I wanna clean things up a bit. But I didn't know that it stops my ph from rising. Thank you
