White widow week 3

I have a single dinafem white widow going on week 3 vegging. There are 4 23w 6500k cfls on a 18/6 schedule, it's in a box outlined in aluminum foil. I'm using potting soil from miracle grow the moisture control kind. I'm wondering when is a good time to switch to flowering it's about a foot talk already and is beginning it's first true leaves.

You can technically put it into flower whenever you want. Account for a 2-3 increase in size. Best time is to wait for pistils and/or alternating nodes as it is less stressful on the plant. Good luck man, she looks good.

I don't mean to sound dumb but a node? What is a node? Also do the pistils grow off the little leaf looking things on the stem under the main branches?

I would suggest letting one more set of true leaves grow in then pinch off the next new pair that try to grow in (topping) waiting a week or so then switch to flower if ur limited on height, vegging with cfls for a long period of time could lead to problems if u plan on flowering with them also.

Typically cfls are used for small/stealth grows so space is somewhat limited (in most cases when using cfls) and they dont have as good light penetration as a mh or hps, so youll have to end up surrounding your giant plant with cfls all around it at different heights so you could get light to the lower budsites and fanleaves. While space is also a factor also # of plants etc, the bigger the plant = more lights.

Could I use two 2700k and 2 6500k for flowering at both 23w cfls?
You can but ud be better off with only 1 bulb at 6500k and the rest at 2700k. When flowering with cfls, too many bulbs with the "blue spectrum" (6500k) will result in loose fluffy buds. I prefer a 3:1 ratio 2700k being 3 and 6500k being 1

My plant is going on a month old is showing it's second set of true leaves and I put 2 23w 6500k and 2 26w 2700k lights will this cause the plant to pre flower at 18/6 lighting or should I add all 2700k and switch too 12/12 now?

Let her veg to half the hight you want the total plant to be then go 12/12 remember the longer the veg the larger the yield typically

The plant will pre-flower only when its fully mature, and just my 2 cents id stack some dvd cases or something under the plant to raise it up a bit, u want cfls as close as possible without radiating too much heat to your plant, i keep mine about 1"-2" away

This is my lights mostly 23w 2700 and 2 23w 6500 all running at 1650 lumens. I have had it under 12/12 for the past 4 days
