White Widow is now 10+ weeks from flip but no amber trichs..WTF? Photos included : )

Two months veg...then went 12/12 ten and a half weeks ago and I see not one amber trich...actually I still see a few clear ones, but most are milky. Anyone go this long with White Widow (from BCSEEDS)? I'm just guessing it could go another two weeks or less before chopping. I used Fox Farm nutes as per schedule and used their new Bembe the past 4 or so weeks. It'll be one week tomorrow that I cut out all nutes and I'm just using water now..

The tops of some of the colas got burnt from the lights so I chopped the tops of those few which you can probably see in the photos.

Using 2-600 watt hps bulbs in cool tubes. A few plants fox tailed I'm guessing b/c the tops of those few got too close to the bulbs, but over all the temps and humidity have been right on.

The burnt tops I dried out being the insides were fine. It got me high , but no wow factor which I didn't expect being they're weeks premature. I may go only one more week before I go dark for 2-3 days before chop, dry, and cure. The buds are sick sticky!!

Anyone have any insight on this issue? Let me add though...I have some killer colas going on all eight plants. Probably should have only been six plants being two aren't really right "under" the light, but even those have some nice buds going on.Thoughts?

Thanks Ulen...at this point...almost five months of babying these girls, I'm getting impatient, but, after all this time whats another week or two? Although..my tongue is hanging to the floor as I salivate...lol.

Based on the foxtails, I'd take them down. They look good. Nice grow.

Well they do look a little bit outa whack nothin too major sept the burnt tops you mentioned

I would chop. They look good. You can try cutting into a bud to see if you have any amber showing under the foxtails.

Look great !! No amber ...give it a few days but I'd start flushing too ! Can't be much longer mine are at wk 7 flowering and may have only 1 wk left , been using sensi A&B ph perfect big bud for 5wks and 2 wks of overdrive ..non its flush to the finish !! Great grow abuilder!!

Thanks y'all....yeh, think I'll go 2 days dark starting on Monday or Tuesday then chop. I want to give it a few more waterings to flush it a bit further anyway. I can't imagine it going any longer and it getting any better. I'll keep you posted. Dying for a taste taste. Almost five months...now thats restraint and love of my girls.

What do you mean exactly by, "the next big thing", skeletor? I had a feeling it may not be over yet which was why I stopped the nutes only 5 or so days ago. Figured it probably would be another two weeks or so which will take me to almost 3 months of flower mode. Under my hand held microscope I see next to no amber trichs, but most are pretty cloudy. The burnt tops I cut off about two-three weeks ago actually gave me a decent buzz. A creeper and not couch lock, but it's hard to really say being it was still pretty immature. Maybe you're right..I should probably keep checking the trichs under my scope every day now and stick with the original plan of going another week and a half or so from now to go 1-3 days black before chopping . My girls may have gotten stressed, but me too...lol. Speaking of which...here's a question for everyone I just thought of...that I've never seen addressed. When I go to trim the buds with the foxtails...how do I treat that part. Cut it off and use it for edibles, or is it decently smokeable or maybe just used for vaping? Are foxtails used like the sugar leaves?

I'll try and get some up close shots tomorrow using the macro zoom on my camera. I'll cut a small bit of one of the tops to get a good look and photo of the inside..Stay tuned.

the crystals almost seem to turn into tiny specs with almost no. Head or a very little clear sparkly one

I'm glad I saw your post. I have a white widow × og kush at about 8 weeks 12/12...I was getting worried she was behind my others, took forever to show pre flowers/and trichome production were almost nil. Well just this week she took off! Started budding, fast and now trichomes ever where. Now I'm exited it should be sativa dom. Looks like she may take 11 weeks(that would be cool). Keep up the good work, I look forward to updates. May we both have a really sativa dom widow. (Brazilian land race in the genetics) I think.
