Yeah I have been changing the water about every 10 days and giving the right amount of nutes. I think the yellow/browning was due to the PH but I've fixed that and the yellowing doesnt seem to be progressing. Should those leaves start to turn green again if its solved?

Depends how low the leaves are bro, just let it ride, lower leaves fade during flowering either way. Just make sure ur stones are clean, u feed as suggested and u change ur water regularly. Overall it looks good, The only thing i would suggest doing at this point is investing in a small inexpensive hps lamp so ur nuggies can mature and grow to there fullest potential.

As much as i'd love to do that I dont think i can afford an HPS lamp at the moment. And the $20 DIY one wouldnt be too good of an idea because im not too good when it comes to wiring etc. Unless you know of an inexpensive HPS ill probbaly just wait till next grow to get one.

And yeah all the yellow leaves are near the very bottom because they were the only leaves there when my PH was off, i'll just let them fade away.

Cut them out when they start drying yellow sir but if ur in the U.S.A then check out this thread. Something I put out just cuz peeps need to know. With a lil ingenuity u can produce 20 gram buds dry for less than 70 bux.

I took some baking soda and sprayed all the leaves, then left the fan on them to dry the up quicker. Well when I went to look at them today they all had a huge growth spurt overnight. and the diameter is almost twice of what they used to be. I also notice all this white stuff on the leaves. Could this be the fungus or something that was in them? Or possible its just little pieces of baking soda that didnt evaporate?

oooo sounds interesting, I did know you could spray directly onto the leaves. I assume you mixed the baking soda with water, or what? What recipe?

I'd love to see pics

Yeah I mixed in a tablespoon in a bottle of water and sprayed them because my leaves seemed to have some sort of fungus, which was previously seen as a PH problem. I dont know what exactly the baking soda did, but the plants sure liked it

I have no clue what happened... but I turned the lights off for 12 hours because I was switching to flower a little early.. and when I switched the lights back on OMG. Most the leaves shriveled, I found a few leaves with that looks like something had devoured parts of it.

I quickly sprayed baking soda on them in case its some sort of fungus because thats what I thought a few days ago. I dont even know if they are revivable now, but i'm going to keep them up and see if they can bounce back.
All my time and money in this pretty much gone in 12 hours :cry:

I'll get pics later they are to bad to even be photographed right now.

If anyone would like to help to diagnose what could have happened:

They dont seem to have gotten any worse, could it be that something accidently got into the water that hurt the plants? could it be some kind of fungus? I noticed some of the roots were pink.. maybe some type of algae?

Man I couldnt even start to figure that out. They should have never done that, even if you only screwed the light cycle for 12 hours. Maybe see some signs of curling but not all of that. Something happened to the chemical makeup of your water. Did you check ph and ppm??

PH is perfect. 5.8-6.0

i cant check ppm but note I did switch the water to bloom right before the lights went out. Could I flush it? I dont even know if they are revivable after what happened?

I would flush immediately, and not feed for the next 2 days. On Tuesday, right when the lights come on, I would add a TINY amount of nutrients...1/4 strength at the very most, wait till next light cycle and see how they are doing. Many may not agree, but I do it all the time, I would trim the real damaged leaves and allow the plant to feed and supply needed nutrients to the better off leaves. The plant will focus nutrients to growing areas not damaged areas. It will heal itself and move on to other branches and new growth.

I just switched so it will be day 3. The plants were pretty much fine 4 days ago but once I switched I must have done something they didnt like.

Should I fill it back up with plain water and just leave out the nutrients until she gets better?

I was thinking.. should I switch back to veg because its only been 2 days in flowering and they would probably recover better without the added stress of having to flower right?

I cut off a lot of the dead leaves, and noticed a dark pink substance that was on the duck tape that was blocking the empty holes. There was also a lighter more algae looking substance on the rockwool.

Could this have been the cause of what happened?
