White widow and others - SCROG

Time for the new round. 6 plants under the screen, 37 days from seed.

Nutes :

Formulex for the first weeks and now switching to AN - GMB at 1:1:1 ratio , Rhizotonic, Hesi Supervit.
Nothing complicated is good for me.
I'll add Hammerhead and will change the GMB ratio to 1:2:2 during flowering.
1:1:1 + Hammerhead didn't yield much as I expected.

Strains :

2 White widows (Dinafem)
1 Jamaican Dream (Eva)
1 OG kush (dinafem)
1 Grapefruit krush (ET)
1 Cluster (CH9)

IMG_6528.jpg

Screen: 100cm x 70 cm, above 25 cm from the plants.
Light : 400 watt MH

IMG_6628.jpg

Growing media : 2/3 Biobizz Coco mix with 1/3 perlite + worm castings and dolomite. All in 20l buckets.

CH9's cluster is accidently topped in seedling stage. One cfl bulb fell on top of it and she has 4 main colas now.
Not really sure why its 4 instead of 2.
Never had couridge to top a plant (not sure why) but now I see its not a big deal for them and they can grow.

Temps are around 36 C in tent when lights on.
Time to stop trying to solve this with more air exchange and ventilation.
Cooltube helps but not eliminates the problem.
Tomorrow Im buying that portable ac. No other options left.

Comments and suggestions are always appreciated.

Thank You

Beautiful plants.
86 degrees isn't bad just keep it steady. As long as you don't keep your heat going up and down you should be good, as the plants will adapt. Besides that, they look wonderful. Good job.
Looks like 2nd plant in back may have a lil nute burn.
what's your PH looking like?
Subbd.

Thanks for subbing SirGreenThumb.
Im trying to keep the water ph around 5.8 - 6.0 but didn't test the runoff yet.
This biobizz cocomix is something new for me. Still staying on the safe side with very tiny amount of nutes (around 250-300 PPM)
But I guess this white widows are more sensitive to heat. They are behind the others.
Thats also why I want the temps lower than the current. I live with them in the same room and its freaking hot.

OMG how do you sleep at 86degrees? Plants look to be off to good start.I dont like growing different strains under same setup the WW will or when i grew alot shorter and not just a water and let grow plant needed to keep a i on em.

Thanks for the advice SOMEBEECH.
Both WW's are in the middle and thats the best position a plant can be in my setup. We'll see how they make it.

YW. Oh, I understand about using nutes. I've come to the conclusion that I suck at it. So I usually leave them out and just use water, besides that I had one of the best harvests without using any nutes and a bubble system. My waters ph is at 6.8 and my plants seem to love it.

As for the sleeping with the heat. I can't do that either. I have to have my air on and my fan on in my bedroom which is also where I grow my plants in a spare closet and I vent the heat out into the room which makes it even hotter. I've neglected growing for a while because of this heat issue and the lack of funds to solve the problem.

But like I said, your plants are looking great. and I don't think that the diff strains should be a problem since your doing a scrog. They will all end up about the same height anyway.IMO.

Thanks for the relief Sir :)
I was like "wtf am I doing ? what if WW's stay too behind when others are ready to flip?"
But as You said , scrog should help. Just another live and learn thing !

It's no problem, we are all here to help.
I'm sure it will all work out in the end. I would love to have to WW, I haven't had that shit in ages.

The plants are 8 days into flowering. One of them (Grapefruit krush from ET) turned out to be a dude and removed.
It's really sad to see a 2,5 month old (fem) seed to show balls. Now Im left with 5 plants but they are doing well.

Some part of the screen is a bit overcrowded and the left corner is empty after the dude has gone.
Everyday Im trying to relocate bud sites to use all available light and space. I cant say Im pretty sure of what Im doing.
But I like to believe I'm doing something usefull for them.

Big Bud and Bud Candy are added to my nutes.
I've also been dealing with thrips and tried neem oil. It did not worked and I've had to use Avid. Now the bastards are gone.
I'll be repeating this at 7 days intervals for 15 days. Since Avid also kills spider mites and I already have them
in my outdoor plants , I think this will be a good prevention. Hoping not to use anything after the 3rd week of flower.

Updates will be more frequently from now on and I'm open to comments/suggestions

19 days into flowering.

Its getting crowded and harder to control.
OG Kush (down-right) is filling the screen and jamaican dream (up-right) started to smell like black pepper.
2 White widows on the corner are growing like mad and Cluster (left) is trying to catch them.
Im hoping to get a better yield this time.

GMB+budcandy+bigbud (2,2,2),(1),(1)ml/litre)x2 weekly , plus Seaweed at 20 days intervals.
Feed + feed + then water with fulvic acid at 5.8.
Heavy feeding will be between weeks 4 to 6.

Thanks for watching.

Week 5 day 33

They are looking healthy.
But I cant undertstand if they are on where they supposed to be for week 5. They smell great and all have trichomes all around them, but still tiny buds.

I think I vegged them for too long (8 weeks) and now its packed in there. Can they breathe ? I hope so.
Night temps 25-27C and Day 30-32C. Its still freaking hot in here. I never hated summer this much.
We have fans , and the AC working 24/7 but still cant control the heat in my room. 18.000 btu is not enough on a 35m2 room at the top of the house.

If I fail, here are the possible reasons.

I could not provide the perfect enviroment
During veg , the screen was not necessary and light was too far
I started to give Hammerhead at week 4 (dont know why)
I was late to trim them properly
There was not enough dolomite in my coco and still waiting for my CalMag to arrive.

So the current situation tells me Ill not be getting the benefits of scrogging, because of my own mistakes.
Lets see how this will end.

Comments and suggestions are apprecited.

You're at week 5 and they look great. This is around the time where bud growth will start to go into hyper drive. You seem to be doing everything correctly. I can't see any problems with your plants. Keep what you're doing. You will see a big change in bud growth real soon.

I wasnt updating here but already harvested them 2 weeks ago. The total yield is a big dissapointment = 120 gr from 5 plants.
My scrog failed. And there are number of reasons behind this. Lessons learned.
I started ak47's from seed now and not interested in doing a scrog for this time.
