Shantibaba's Mr. Nice Forums ... but it is all stuff I knew for years and have said in shortened versions many times here. There are roughly 30 at least somewhat genetically different strains that all carry the name White Widow. Some are mostly indica and some are mostly sativa and their flowering periods vary by as much as 20 days or more .... but still some people actually believe them to all be the same or at least extremely close to being the same.
Some people just don't know about the original White Widow/Black Widow but even if they do most people here either do not have the money to spend on Black Widow, the original White Widow, or they don't want regular seeds, which is all it comes in. So they purchase knockoffs and F2s and backcrosses that are not like the original, in feminized seed form almost all the time, and then they try to fool themselves into believing that the garbage they got was as good as the original .. and or that if what they got is what the original was then it really wasn't as great a strain as they believed it was and were told it was and that it isn't as good as newer strains.
There is SO MUCH history about cannabis and strains and potency through the years that most people know nothing about and if told most refuse to accept the facts. They prefer to believe what they want to believe, what they are comfortable believing, what they need to believe, what validates what they do or have done and what justifies what they say.
I find that to be very sad.
