my plants are about two weeks old and about a couple of days ago white spots began to appear on the leaves. yesterday white spots began to appear on another plant. could they be spider mites? also, some of the leaves on my other plants have began to curl upwards. could this be from heat stress? thanks.

Flip over one of the leaves, and if you have decent eyesight, you'll be able to see spidermites, if they're there. Looks like they got some nasty overfert going on, too.

It's must likely thrips. Get you a magnifying glass and you can see them. Get you something with spinosad in it and they will go away quickly. Captain Jack's dead bug brew is good and has the spinosad in it. Coat your leaves top and bottom.

also, do you know what is causing the leaves to curl upwards? its kind of hard to tell from the pictures. I have 10 plants and almost all of the leaves are doing this.

im using a 150w HPS and a 400w MH for vegging. the HPS is 2.5 feet from the plants and the MH is about three. i am also using super plant tonic by BMO at 1/4 strength.
