Have you heard about NPK ratings on nutrients? The brand of nutrient doesn't matter so much as the ratios. For flowering your looking for anything that is high in Phosphorous and Potassium but low in nitrogen. NPK = Nitrogen, Phosphorous, Potassium. As a general rule, organics are usually easier to work with, while chemicals are more concentrated and pure.
