white seedlings

greetings, new here.

I have a situation! I have white seedlings, I did a batch of healthy looking seeds. they turned out green but some are white an reddish. Should I dispose of them, since they will absorb time and nutrients etc etc, or should I continue and see, has anybody ever had white seedlings? They seem healthy, and are in fifth day, growing slow, but growing and have not changed color.

White is cool to look at, but they are going to grow very slowly if at all. There is a reason there leaves are green. White leaves wont be able to go through the photosynthesis process probably if at all.

I've had seedlings do this. I top fed/foliar fed for a few days and they started to revert back to green in reverse; They went to yellow first then to green. Could be the case here.

your talking about the whole seedling? No Green? All White?
Yah. I wanna see that.
the cotyledons have starch in them to feed the plant. They don't really need to be green. there just food storage.
If there growing let them do there thing as long as they can.

yeah i will try to post some pics...new here, need to learn "how to"

So, I think this would be day 8, from seed 2 days in water, 3 days in cloth water, going on day 3 of siol, seem to take all ok, no changes, other than not growing as fast or normal as others, maybe need a different light? Maybe straight green, is what my novice spectrum light brain is telling me, so that the green can interact with the white? Any Ideas? if this is a fluke, then I don't want to waste my time, and energy on a "lost strain" that ends up being a hermie!
