White powder mildew (white spots)

Experiencing white spots only on fan leaves keep telling myself it’s white pm (white powder mildew, but I only get it on a couple leaves and it never blows up and spreads? It only will appear in a small spot and stay there is that just because I find it as soon as it settles and tear the leaf off? Going crazy because everything I look up about it just shows a plant that has it every where on the fan leaves.

No plants are crowded and humidity is at 25% due to winter and temps are at 72 degrees always, also have air circulation non stop with filters and ac going non stop.

I see a lot of people complaining about it on reddit and various forums right now. Maybe it's a season thing. I'm fighting an outbreak of it right now, too. Trim the affected leaves. Spray plants with a dilution of peroxide and water. Increase air flow. Pray.

open up your plants by pruning leaves to allow more airflow to circulate around the leaves and you should avoid such problems

I prune leaves daily that are to big or sucking up energy that is needed some where else also at day 1 and 21 of bud. I’m avoiding every outcome of wpm by pruning and having ac going to prevent humidity going over 40% in bud, also have inline fans and circulating fans on lights and plants. I just can’t determine if this is or not white powder mildew. All I need to know is if this is or isn’t white powder mildew so I can take further steps with apple cider vinegar or anything else that might eliminate this problem. Should I wait next time I see a white spot and see if it grows?

Yes this is powdery mildew. Pruning does help. I like to use a fan below canopy to keep air moving as well as at the canopy level.

There are a number of sprays that work but the cause has to be removed or it will keep coming back.

I suspect that I got mine from using Dr. Earth's organic tomato fertilizer. I started using it as a top dressing and within a week I had mildew and an infestation of fungus gnats. Don't use that stuff! It smells like horse manure and you will get infested. Well, I don't 100% know for sure, but the timing sure is suspect. I've never had anything other than a very minor thrip problem. Used Dr. Earth's and suddenly have an entire host of ills.

Have you read anything on eagle 20ew I’m currently reading mixed reviews but it says it’s the only thing that will kill wpm.

Potassium bicarbonate...1 tablespoon mixed with water then ph'ed high, such as ten.
Spray affected areas in low light, not dark.

Potassium bicarbonate does seem to help. I just used that. Put one tablespoon in a spray bottle of water, added 3 teaspoons of oil and 4 drops of Dawn. Shake. Spray. The oil and dawn is to make it cling to the leaves, I think. Makes it sticky so I doesn't just evaporate away.

1 tablespoon in a spray bottle? I used 1 tablespoon per gallon and it turned my pistils brown. Killed the powdery mildew, but I still cut down how much I used after that.
I used 1 teaspoon per gallon after that, and it still worked.

Thank you everyone I appreciate it. I ended up going the organic way and did apple cider vinegar 4 teaspoons to half a gallon of water and I haven’t seen it back since. If it comes back then I will spray again with the apple cider then with skim milk 1:10 ratio to water. Been reading for the last 5 days in forums for natural remedy’s. Thank you to everyone that pointed out I indeed had pm I couldn’t find any pictures on forums with that little of pm!

Leaves don’t suck up energy need for other places with out leaves buds won’t grow, those leaves are like solar panels taking in light your giving the plants and turning it into energy and food to grow the buds you want

You didn’t get powdery mildew from your fertilizer
