White-ish spots/streaks on leaves. Can you help me identify problem?

Hello, everyone. I am a first-time grower and am trying to do everything right. So far, everything has been going good, except in the past day one of my plants (OG Kush?) has started getting spots/streaks all over it. The only change in the past few days is switching from fluorescent T8 grow lights at 24/0 to the 300watt setting on my Hortilux HPS lamp and going to 18/6 cycle.

I am about to move our veg plants to flowering in the next week or so and wanted to do a gentle transition between the light cycles and lighting intensity, as to not cause any shock to the plants. I moved the ballast setting up to 400watts this afternoon.

I have not watered/ nuted them in the past few days when this spotting problem occurred.

Does anybody have any ideas as to what this could be? (see pic)

Real quick, here is my equipment and nute schedule:

* 4x4 Secret Jardin tent
* 6" Blockbuster hood
* 600watt Ballast
* 600watt Hortilux bulb
* 6" inline fan & charcoal filter
* Sunshine Mix #2 soilless
* General Hydro 3 part nute series - last nutes were a week ago @ 6ml Micro/6ml Gro/5ml Bloom per gal.

This plant is 1 of 2 clones which have been vegging since Jan 14th; the other looks fine. There are other plants in the tent as well, and they do not have these spots.

Thanks!!!

I looked into spider mites, and yeah, that looks like them. I sprayed her down with soapy water and will wash it off soon. Will do the rest of them, just in case. Tried to find Neem Oil in the local Walmart, but no luck finding it. Anyone know what dept it's in? No one there had heard of it.

Sprayed everyone down with Neem Oil yesterday, and will follow that up every 3 days or so. I looked at the pic of this affected when we got it as a clone, and sure enough it had some funk on it then. Didn't see it til I zoomed in the pic. Saw some funk on my master bubba girls as well, which pisses me off. I'm not going to let these little bastads eat my crop!

So... here it is at day 41 of flowering, and I thought I had my spider mite problem licked. I sprayed them down with neem oil for like 4 weeks, and then I found nothing on them for a long time, so I stopped spraying them.

Yeah, no such luck. I found some today, after not seeing any for several weeks. I am soooooo pissed.

I need to spray ALL of the plants down again now. Shit. They are getting really big, and STICKY. Really sticky. And, the neem obviously didn't work. They are mainly on my OG plants. Soooooo pissed.

Does anyone know if it's okay to spray them down at this point?

Thanks, guys.

I did a lot of reading in the past 24 hours, and my plan tonight is to take all the plants out one by one and vacuum them first followed possibly with a spray solution of water/isopropyl alcohol. From everything I've read, at this point - 6 weeks into flower - neem oil will make the buds taste like crap, same with soap and everything else, and it's kinda too late in the game for me to be comfortable using the No-Pest Strips. So taking all of the options away due to the timing, vacuuming the little bastards off the fan leaves and them spraying them - but not the buds - with the alcohol mix is all I've got left to work with.

The most affected plants are my OG girls, and they already have a ton of trichs and are sticky. So I don't want to vacuum up my harvest - ! Will be VERY careful.

I'll have to do this over and over for the last couple of weeks at least once or twice a week. Fun, fun. :(

So the vacuuming was screwing up the leaves, no matter how low I put the suction on. Strike One. Then I tried washing the leaves down with water, but quite honestly that is way, way, way too much work to be doing when you see what's flowering in this tent:

So strike Two.

Today I am going to the grow shop to get some Mighty Wash, which was recommended by someone on another thread. I read up on it, and it seems to work well for everyone. I have a LOT of plant material to spray, so we'll see how far a gallon will go. Here is a current pic of my OG girls - they are in the back, behind one of my bagseed sativas.

I will update this thread after using the Mighty Wash. Fingers crossed for no strike three!

Checked on my girls last night - two days after spritzing them down completely with Mighty Wash - and the Mighty Wash looks like it is doing a good job. I checked multiple leaves throughout the tent and the only spots I saw on the backs of my leaves was damage from the vacuuming! Doh! So far, so good.

I sure hope this did the trick because I spent hours spraying the plants down and waiting for them to dry before putting them back under the
hps light. Here are some bud pics I took that night while I had them out:

One of these days I will update my grow journal on here. Procrastinating since the data loss lost 1/2 the journal; it's going to take a bunch of time that I just don't have right now. These pics were taken at day 43 of flowering.

what do you mean to late in the game for no pest strips? why because you are flowering or those are used as a preventive measure?

get some azamax...can use as spray and drench for soil...kills them, stops eggs from hatching, juveniles will not mature...dr doom also is good...bomb the little bastards...i think you can use doom during flowering...but check to make sure!

I am into late flowering, so I'm not sure I want to use the no pest strips unless I have to. The plants are in the closet not far from where we sleep, which is why it makes me nervous.

I just got done nuting for tonight, and saw some more mites on 3 of the plants, so I re-sprayed them. They probably hatched in the last few days. Arg!

Pixi - I'd been using neem oil during veg and early flowering, and thought I'd licked the little bastards - until week 6 of flowering. Does the Azamax work a lot better than neem? I have to admit I am not thrilled with what the neem did not do for my plants. Saw a mite on one of my vegging clones and sprayed them down as well. I am getting tired of all the work. If the azamax is actually effective, I'm all about effective. If it works well for you in your location, I think I'll look into it more. I swear I have more 'stuff' in the cabinet now than I expected! lol
