White gunk on stem

So all the images i found on google images about powdery mildew shows it on the leaves. I got this kinda creamy looking gunk on the stem at the bottom and where i topped it few spots.

Is this mildew? Do i just wipe it off or spray with something?

It started at the base of the plant near hydroton rocks.

That's normal. It's just how the skin grows on the stalks on some plants.

Edit: I see what you mean now at the base of the plant, almost looks like Mycorrhizae fuzz. Are you using any microbial inoculants?

Just nutes and hydroguard in dwc.

Its a high heat, high humidity environment although im managing that with aircon most of the time, but there are times in a day when i turn the aircon off. Humidity goes to 70% and temperature 28c in the tent.

Not sure what it is but its definitely not plant matter. Looks harmless tho.
