White fluffy growth. Do i forge ahead or throw it out.

Hi folks,
This is my very first grow, sorry i don't have pics but i'll try to describe what's happening. When i flipped to 12/12 i noticed some white fluffy looking growth around the stems(i believe it's called root rot or at least that's my diagnosis) of each plant and on the hydroton. I pulled as much of the hydroton as I could and cleaned it. I also left the fan running 24/7 at this point. The growth doesn't seem to be growing anymore and the roots are still looking a creamy/beige. I've made sure the temp stays higher so not to allow the spores to germ. and there is no smell or water issues in the res. However; after 15 days in bloom, the NL is doing nothing while the unknown plant has maybe 10 small bud sights growing strong.

I'm wondering should i pull the NL out of there and give the unknown plant a chance to make it or am i just fighting a losing battle and root rot will eventually claim all the colas? Has the root rot affected the bloom of the NL or do i need to give it another week or so? Should i just pitch it all and sterilize the room and all products and start over or let it go and see what comes of it? I didn't expect much from my first grow, but i have to admit; I'm a bit disappointed.

I can't even begin to list all the mistakes I made in just one grow but i was kinda hoping for something to grow to fruition. Now it seems as though i may have to wait until my second grow.... or third....??? lol

Thanks for your input, Thomas.

white fluffy looking growth around the stems(i believe it's called root rot or at least that's my diagnosis) of each plant and on the hydroton. ( just roots maybe wanting to grow )
don't think root rot on top of hydroton
what you using for nutrients is there any foam in bucket

Never surrender. Ever. But it doesn't sound like root rot? White forming on the pebbles? Anyways if it is dreaded rot, whats your res temp?

Something that works for me. It's my two cents but is told to cure root rot is Roots Excelurator. I buy it in small qtys for 20$. Its 1/4 per ml. Also. Known to help is aquashield. And I dont reccomend but have used it to save girls is.. Hydrogen peroxide. :weed:

But honestly those two probably are not linked. how does it smell. And look. Color. Root rot is determined under the lid. You may have foam. Bud factor x?

nope no foam in the bucket nutes are General Hydroponics trio and using fresh 3ml plastic droppers to handle the nutes. i also have Ph up and down. i usually mix nutes and then drop Ph to between 5 and 6.

res temp is around 30C or 86F i know temps are prefered lower but i had no idea it was that high. i'm guessing that's part of the problem. I have no way of controlling the temp except maybe throwing some ice in the res, but that doesn't sound like a good idea. idk I'm in the middle of nowhere and have to order everything to my home through the mail. Takes about three weeks to get anything to my door. Oh and it's not a DWC, it's just a hydro grow with a single stone at the bottom of a 3.5 gal res. the roots look good and there is no funky smell what-so-ever.
