so my situation is this...
himalayan blue diesel auto, and white dwarf auto. Both in miracle grow, (say what you want, but for a first grow and not a lot of cash its done great), 1 gallon pots, broke soil nov. 7th. they have been on a 20/4 light cycle and just got moved out of a mini fridge stealth box due to their rapid growth. himalayan blue is 18 in. and dwarf is 15 1/2. problem is the browning on the leaves of the dwarf. shown in pics. no browning on blue. in the last two days, the bottom two nodes on the blue have began drooping. no color loss or yello, just drooping.they have been on 2 tsp liquid karma per gal. and a week ago i started botanicare's hydroplex everything 3rd watering. used spring water for first two weeks have sinced switched to tap water left out for two days, and Lights are 4 x 42 watt 2700k cfls. the big bud in pics is dwarfs main, please help me out. they are only about a month out of harvest, possibly less on white dwarf. thank you everyone, all thoughts and advice is appreciated greatly.

no mate they're ok, but next grow ,ditch the fluros and put in a 1000w hps. Its like chalk and cheese the hps will give you at least 6x the weight in bud.

Thanks man but 1000 watt hps would definately raise the bills and prevent this from being covert unless we had 1500 bucks or more to spend. The cfl's have surpassed my expectations this far.

ok no worries, the 1000 watter is only $280 inc post. costs more to run but its worth it. fluro harvest (say 5 medium sized indicas)=5 oz of spindly heads. 1000w harvest= 30 oz of rock hard chunk.(in the same amount of time) you do the math. and the 1000hps wont cost too much extra about $150-200 extra for 3 month period. no offense but there is an professional way of doing things and an amatuer way.Your the latter.

Damn bro. Thanks for callin out the new guy. Appreciate the go big or go home approach but not all of us are doing this to open a chain of dispensaries or become drug dealers. I wanna grow enough to cover the overhead cost. And have smoke. Better smoke than anything you can find where I am. And with this grow as a very first with the results I'm getting. I'm happy. Just wanted advice on the leaves. Not advice that I already know. Common sense will tell you that if you add 800 watts to any setup it will give you more. Thanks for the dynamite tips " mate".

Let me know how you are getting on. I have not log harvested my blue himalaya (not blue himalaya diesel), grown under a 125w cfl and a couple 23 watters. She was only 10" tall, but still got about 16 gram off her so cant moan. And the smoke is pretty tasty and definitely a true couch lock stone. Like you say better than anything you get on tge street unless the odd bit of cheese comes along, every now and again (im in the uk!) Her leaves drooped substantially in the first few weeks but she picked up nicely. Harvesting my white dwarf over the next few days..hoping to get over 20 grams of her and shes smelling fruity. Her leaves really yellowed at a early stage but her buds have filled up nicely. Think she was just a bit over sensitive to nutes. I will update my journal and post some pics over the next few days. Let me know how you have hot in with yours. Nice one

Wouldn't worry about the leaves going that colour at all. Leaves will turn odd colours as they progress so not to worry. Seen as they are only a month away from harvest then it not a big problem. You will need to flush for a week (hydro) or 2 weeks for soil grow. Your pics are looking good by the way.

Buds - yeah, using a 1000W will give you a lot of bud, and rock hard too but some people can only do stealth grows and using 1000W will increase heat big style (unless you get a cool tube for the bulb) and it will also increase running costs. Some people use 400W (i used to), others 600W and others will use multiples of bulbs and 1000W bulbs. It all depends on space, cost and time. I'm using 2 x 125W dual spec bulbs for my grow, check out my thread on here.

I'm limited to space, don't have a lot of time to get plants done (hence why I'm doing lowyders for a 2nd time) and I don't have the money to get a bigger bulb or money to cover the running costs so if I get around 21g or so per plant then I'll be happy. Some people just grow for as cheap as they can, for the thrill of growing their own and hate paying out for damp, off weight stuff from dealers. Besides, at least when you grow your own you know it won't have been tampered with and for the amount you spend on seeds (say £35 for 5 fems), £10 for soil, £5 for pots, £50 for lights (for fittings and 2 x 125W cfl), £20 for running costs, £5 for b+w sheeting and £10 for nutes = £135, then even if you only get 10g per plant then that will equal 50g! How much would that cost on the market (be it dry, not full of twigs and on weight)? Well all depends on where you live an who you know. Average price of £45 per quarter so that equals £180 per oz, 50g equaling £315 or so, that is almost 3 x what you spend on growing your own. You could sell a bit to cover your costs and you still have stuff to grow again once you need to.
