Which strains generally produce the biggest buds ?

I'm currently growing gelato og ,white widow.and northern lights , this far I can tell gelato og is superior when it comes to bud size , growth rate and overall size and health.

The white widow and northern lights are extremely bushy and bud sites arent anything to be shout about . They are still in there infancy , throwing out pistils , time will tell .

Gelato og I'll definitely grow again

Can anyone recommend a strain that always produces high yield ?

Gelato OG rocks. Friend gave me cuttings. From Seedsman only. Very tasty and stony.

Some of the highest yields I've had were with a G13 labs white widow pheno I grew for over 4 years. It was an awesome plant, sativa dominant so it grew nice spear-shaped colas. Took 10-11 weeks of actual flower time but produced an average of 30gs per plant in the SOG grow I was doing. So with 40 of them under a 1k air cooled HPS I was averaging 1000+gs dried from a 4x4 tray.

The big bitch in the back was a WW freebie I popped for my first grow. I dont weigh my flower because its for personal use, but I filled a 1.5 gallon jar with her, the other 2 plants are blueberry freebies that, together, filled my other jar.

I shamelessly look for any excuse to share my girls. Sue me.

They look beautiful, nice work! My WW was a freebie too, go figure :). I'd have to dig deep into my grow journal to find pictures from mine, it was back in 2009-10ish

Glue, cindy and critical lines are all pretty good yielders ime. Check out breeders instagrams find something you like the structure of that meets your other needs too(high, taste, flower time) and find it on a seedbank. Pain in the ass I know but it is what it is, growing weed ain’t a get rich quick thing(wish it was but…)

Depends on how rich you're trying to get!!!

I've gotten some pretty big buds from White Russian. Although I do attribute some of it to the energy generated from photosynthesis by having lots of healthy green leaves and not necessarily the strain. One of the reasons I don't hack off all the leaves like some do. More leaves = more photosynthesis = more food created by the plant = bigger flowers.

I agree with the fellow who said critical mass, though I wouldn't grow just critical mass. Look for a critical cross that uses the Spanish bilbo cut-I'm growing one now in my grow journal-Petrol Skunk by Old School Genetics. Another great source is Delicious Seeds-check out their critical Jack Herrer, it's a great strain, and also their Sugar Black Rose, which is critical bilbo cut X Black Domina. These plants form huge colas, BUT they are so thick and dense they are prone to mold, so spray with preventive biofungicides (I like Southern Ag garden friendly fungicide), keep your humidity down, and give them LOTS of air circulation. Lots of skunk f1 hybrids have the same huge colas and extreme vigor as well.

I found critical mass to a bit of a bland taste, decent high, and always buds that are 20-30% bigger.
That said I’ve stopped running it simply because I don’t enjoy it as much as others.
A cross is a very good idea.
