Which setup of lights is best for my tables?

Hey RIU I'm currently building a 4x4, or 5x5 flood and drain table, as for lighting I'm thinking either 1x1000 watt over the table, or 2x600 watts, which would be better? Could I get the 600s closer and better light penetration?

This is a well worn debate.

I personally prefer the 2x600W option for the non-commercial grower.

Yes, you get much closer.

If you do 2 600s it would be better to have a 6' x 3' table if possible, as each light roughly has a 3 x 3 spread. Ive used both 600s and 1000s and the results were pretty close between 2 600s and a 1000
