Hi folks,

New setup! Bigger tent, new issues!

I ll follow up on another thread about best dehumidifiers to keep down the humidity, the one I got is to weak and it does not seems to be able to handle it.

Anyway my temp will be from 60 to 70 farhenait (15 to 21 Celsius) and possibly in few worst moment can go below 60.. but not sure about this yet.

I'm growing auto and I read that at these temp the chances for the plant to get deseases or fungi is pretty high

Which product u suggest me to buy to limit the chances of issues at these low temps?

Thanks

Not a good place to grow,Id find a better spot.
Impossible, no other spot unfortunately.

Anyway my first two attempts went more than great! got lots and good quality harvests, I'm just trying to reduce to minimal the chances of issues, I may not be always so lucky.

Keeping light on during night and off during day is helping a lot too.

Also i'm moving from a 40x40x120 tent to 40x90x160 so it means that i will have more issues dealing with temps and humidity, I just need to find the right tools to keep the balance.

Main thing for now is to find the right product to reduce issues of fungi, bacteria mold and so on...

Nobody know any product to suggest?
What kind of product do you think could combat the cold......arctic fertilizer or Vicks Vaporub for plants?

You could consider using a space heater....I would suggest an oil filled style heater (no open heat elements)

Alternatively, since you are growing auto's why not leave your lights on 24 hours/day which would keep the temps consistently warm

IMHO....the temps you stated are a bit cool but not that bad, I have grown in similar conditions

Not sure, here and there they keep repeating that under 15 degree Celsius i may have issues with fungi, mold, bacteria and so on.. so people actually growing in this conditions say that they use spray anti bacteria/mold/fungi..and they spray them almost every day... ive been looking around but there are too many products so I was wondering if anyone use any of these and think is good

I can consider lights up 24h... The only reason I'm not doing it yet is electricity bills and because toll now the 18 hour cycle was working perfectly...

Winter is coming and I bought a bigger tent so I'm getting more worried now..

Heater inside is another option but I'm trying to keep things simpler as I can

If you are growing in a tent in the attic I assume you are venting through the roof, where are you drawing fresh air in from? If you aren't already I'd pull it up from the living area of the house which I assume is warmer unless you live in the Arctic in a igloo. Another idea would be to insulate the outside of the tent to hold more of the heat in from the lights. If the root zone is the main worry then try using warming coils around the pots to maintain temps above 50 degrees. For fresh seedlings under veg lights I use a propagation mat to combat living in a older house until transplant into larger pots.
