Building my grow box so I can make slight changes in size. Driver will be located outside of box.
  • Preferably under $200
  • Cooling: AC infinity T4 with carbon filter
Best for temperature, coverage etc?

Please give advice.

I have the 132qb in a 2x2. Works great! You have to turn it down a little for the 1st month or so. ><>

A 2x2 is a very small space to cover. Really any of those options will do fine.
I don't necessarily need to build my fixture. I'm building my grow box so if I do decide 4x120 then I'll make it a little bigger.

How does the heat translate for 135 and 4x120?
135 is max 150 watts.
4x120 at 40 watts each.

Is the wattage/heat relationship the same?
Will the 135 even run at full power when flowering?

Squeezing 4 boards into a 2x2 seems pretty tight to me. I'd go with the QB288 myself, just because it's easier to manage one board compared to 4.

mathematically, the heat should be the same with 4 boards at 150w vs 1 board at 150w. maybe a degree or two more due to covering the entire space with 4 boards, less air to get through to the top. But you still shouldn't have any problems. The 4 board setup would definitely be the best spread you can get, would be glorious. That being said, yeah a single qb288 would cover that space pretty well too.

@PJ Diaz I do agree that it could be tight. I'm making this so I could change it up slighty for a little more room. Middle board is removeable.

@HolyAngel Im trying to make it a little stealthy. Not sure if thats possible if my fan is at max the whole time trying to bring temps down from 4x120. No a/c, located in Hawaii.

I've been real happy with my QB288 for veg dimmed down to 100 watts in a 32"x32" space.

@HolyAngel Yea I guess. I just wanna know how hot 4x120 would get. Average temp in my area is around 78-83.

@PJ Diaz how the heats on that? Do you know temps inside and outside the tent?

What's a temperature range I should be looking for?
