I don't document evidence against myself. I might as well go up to a cop and confess, and do it again at trial.

I suggest, that if you want reassurance, you go here: https://www.rollitup.org/groups/cfl-growers.html
Document evidence against yourself? If you are claiming you know the short-comings of CFL's and still you go on and on only about the postives, you are worthless person to consult or discuss this with.

I will keep growing the HID's and I'll keep busting off bigger yeilds of stronger bud in less time with less wattage and you keep on keepin' on doing the retarded way.

Laserbrn, prove it. You can't. Simple as that! :hump:

Shredder, seriously, you're unwanted here. Go away! Go back to elementary school and get back to me when you pass with a B average.

You've demonstrated your lack of understanding. No need for repeats.

Prove what? That HID's produce more grams/watt?

seriously you are going to argue that?

Just grow with an HID once and you'll see with your own eyes what everyone is talking about. I checkout your little "CFL Club". Congrats on some good lucking bud, small amounts that took a long time and a zillion nearly unmanageable lights.

Do you have a link to your previous grow journals? I would like to see your results with your CFL's.

I've long said: "no one grow disproves CFLs as worthwhile lighting" and conversely "all it takes is one CFL grow to prove it."

I've seen numerous threads of grams/kWh, and CFLs always win. Some HIDs come close, but CFLs win, in this regard.

This is the life.
There's no way that's even plausible. I need to track my KWH next grow as I've done with previous and I know you wouldn't be able to touch it.

That may be true for people who grow giant plants, but I grow a lot of smaller plants and product tons of bud without wasting time or ineffeciently utilizing my lights.

My recipe for success is simple...

12 clones - start under CFL's or T5 Fixture

When they outgrow the floro's and start growing switch to MH.

Give them a week and switch to HPS and 12/12. Should be about 12" tall at this point and it's been 2 weeks total.

flower under single HPS until they no longer fit under one, usually about 1.5 weeks. Add the second light and spread everything around nicely. Finish flowering with 2 400wHPS lights for 6 weeks.

Usually get at least 1.0oz per plant sometimes can avg 1.5oz per plant on some strains.

So looking at getting somewhere between 12-15 oz. generally in a 10 week grow.

Using the most efficient lighting possible. Not using HID's on tiny plants, not using CFL's on big plants, etc...

It's about getting everything dialed in at the right times to do their job most efficiently.

You'd get a much better finish mixing HPS with MH.

I've seen plenty of people get over or around 1 oz/plant from using 12/12(entire grow) and CFLs.

I certainly agree that a large space... lets say over one hundred sq feet, or 1,000 cubic feet (10'x10'x10') that HID are the most practical.

This guy just didn't get it!:confused:

Let me clear it up. I do not want to read your posts. I doubt anyone else does either(ok, maybe not all of them). This is my thread. Go away unless you have something... uhm... that's not bullshit to add to this thread.

Any space larger than 4x4 and where a 3x3 tray area is going to be covered. More than CFL's is required to get efficient. In my grow room I would never consider trying to go crazy and fill it with CFL's.

I just can't wait to read Shredder's next post.:hump:

I'm just a dumb RIUer, but.....
My little green plants do alot better under the big bright light.

Recess is over now, back to school.

Nobody said "stretch".
My plants directly under my HID's grow the most. Imagine that!
grow=grow
I have yet to see conclusively better growth under HID as compared to CFL. Do you have conclusive proof?

Comparing first grow cfl!!! comments plz!! versus I've grown for decades comparisons are not valid.

I've never seen a CFL grow vs HPS grow done using them both effectively.

There's grows using the bulbs similarly. These are flawed.

But I've never argued against: HID are much more intense and lack quality of light vs. CFL are less intense and a much higher quality of light.

Thanks, Sure Shot! Bright lights are scary ...
I'm doing both a HPS flower and a CFL veg. right now, TeaTreeOil. I'll be sure to report my findings directly to you first. I'll be sure to animate the whole process so all the idiots on this board can understand the complexities of what I'm trying to convey. RANDOM BOLD SENTENCE!
Of course, you've already fooled yourself into believing what you want to believe. RANDOM BOLD/ITALICIZED SENTENCE!
I'm sure my finding will be something like this:
flowering under HPS - successful with excellent yield.
VERY IMPORTANT BOLD/UNDERLINED SENTENCE.
Vegetative growth under 4x46w CFLs: - successful with excellent growth.
I know, I know ...it's hard for idiots to understand without animations, but I'm working on that.
Sigh ...it's just SO hard being SO smart.
