Which light meter to purchase for vertical setup?

Im very interested in vertical grows & to my understanding the best way to find out the right position to place your plants for the ideal point of penetration is by using a light meter. Although Ive never used one Id like to ask the growers who have which light meter would you recommend & what exactly should I be aiming for & in what units or measurements?

I think they are a waste of money. Something to play with. Put your light over the plants.

Hey there DB, Ive not heard from you in ages hope your doing great.

I wouldnt mind constructing it without a light meter but the main issue is that once its finished you cant move the plants closer to the bulb if they arnt receiving enough light or further away if they begin to burn. Any advice?

Sounds like everything will be stationary making you unable to adjust the light. The simplest answer to that is make the light adjustable.
