I don't see one of their lights that would fit that small spaceGet an hlg quantum board or make your own Samsung lm series strip, don't need much in there. Maybe 120watt or just over, great space, so long as you keep it tight.. I wish I had one of those tents

Yeah I checked that out a few times, I’m not looking to light an area, I want to build 2 8”x5’ strips to supplement my hid in flower with these 4K strips, I grabbed 26 from that blowout thread. 3-400 watts a side, 6-800 total. Really new to led, lots of reading to do. Think I found a parts list, that’s what I’m after, drivers and strips to achieve the watts. Sorry OP, carry on!![]()

Where you getting parts like the heatsinks/drivers/etc for these strip builds? Do you recommend strips over QB? I figured for more even par strips are better than QB in 2020?View attachment 4675144
Qb120 x 4 + 3 x F series strips

QB120 x 4 on a 240watt driver (can be scaled down)

8 x QB120 on 2 x 240 drivers

3 x F series strips on a 240 watt drivers (pulls 260 from the wall because of the A series driver)

3 x F series (shorter length boards on a 150 watt driver)
Strips do have a better coverage, and would be first choice yeahWhere you getting parts like the heatsinks/drivers/etc for these strip builds? Do you recommend strips over QB? I figured for more even par strips are better than QB in 2020?
That is generally true. For me, DIY costs just less than half of off of the shelf consumer options. Shipping and import makes commercial options a no go for me.Those DIY are basically as much as professionally built lights. Is there quality that much better to risk it without the warranty?? For like 200 more USD you can get a 5 by 5 light with an actual backed warranty for 3 to 5 years most times. Not to mention they aren't very nice on the eyes if that is something you care about.
So I am only really worried about exhausting my flower area through the carbon filter. The veg sid should be fine without it I'm thinking. I will put a couple clip on fans on the veg side though.I have same tent... I want get creative with venting and carbon filter. Maybe run filter on outside. and vent both tents thru carbon. Not sure if there will be too much moisture if I run seeding side into main tent, and then exhaust air.
