Ok my grow room is 10x14 split down the middle for veg and flowering. Now i use a 10k btu to cool my current grow but when i remodel is it better to have the window unit directly in the flowering area or should i put it in the veg area with the cfls and cool the flowering area passively? right now im doing a 4x4x8 grow tent in a room that passivly cools the tent and the temps in the grow room and grow tent are about 10-12 degree difference.

Ideal conditions are more important during flowering, losing yield vs slightly slower veg, plus seedlings tend to like it 5-10 degrees warmer.

I run a similar setup. I keep my flower room temp controlled with an A/C but I use two duct fans to circulate air through the veg side. With some careful routing and light traps you can easy do both sides reletively well. This also has the benefit of circulating my C02 from the flower side to the veg side.

ok next question. With a window unit directly in the flowering area, and 2 air cooled hoods on a closed loop how often should i exhaust the room? will the window unit provide enough fresh air or will i need extra passive intakes. Pumping in fresh air like ever 5-10 mins cooling it and then exhausting for more fresh air. Im probably not going to grow during this summer but i plan on building and setting it up to see how extreme the heat will be.

How many watts of light are we talking about here...? Either way I'd put the A/C in flower, but I don't wanna assume...
