Which is better to use to check trich's a 30x magnifier or a 60x to 100x microscope?

I have a 60x to 100x microscope but it doesn't allow me to see anything on the buds. Should I take it back and get a 30x magnifier? Is a 30x magnifier strong enough?

I use a 30X from Radio Shack, costs me $13.

A jewelers loupe or a loupe to look at film slides works good too.

of course, you cut a smaple off the trim leaf and take it to the kitchen table on a white dinner plate.
Don't try to look at them still on the plant.

30x is enough, i doubt you need 60 or 100x

listen to roseman, your life will be easier. I got a 60-100x.. i've mastered viewing trics while on the plant , its very hard. i end up using the 60x, 100x is too powerful to see the big picture. cut a sample off and put it somewhere steady to view your plant will be fine and life will be easier.
