Which is better 3x400w or 2x600w?

Which is better 3x400w or 2x600w for a 4ft. by 8ft.?

I would prefer the 2 600's. 2 digital 600w would be nice.

2 600's cause they are more efficiant and they will cover that area nicely.

depends on what kinda reflectors you have,3 400's will cover more area space coz you can spread um out more but with the space you have 2 600's will be fine.

Please folks, The 2-600watt will produce 190,000 lumens/ light. The 3-400 watt will produce 129,000. 60,000 lumens for free. The 1000watt will produce the same 190,000, you will lose 'available' light because of the height difference, you will not be able to get it as close to as many plants as you can 2-600's. This should be a 'no brainer'. VV

yeh but you can cover more area space with 3 400 watters plus get um closer to the plants than the 600 watters but like i said 2 600 watters will be better for tha space he has.

a 400watt sunmaster son-t-plus hps bulb produces 55000 lumens so its actually 165000 not 129000.a 600 watt produces 95000
