Which high CBD strain to grow

I'm dealing with arthritis and degenerative disc issues, and have been for quite a few years now. The first plants I grew which seemed to give some relief were my Blue Dream (favorite daytime smoke). A bit of pain relief with my neck(no discs left) but more of a, make me happy don't think of the pain.
I'm a pretty happy upbeat retired guy, but this shit is wearing on me. I need to focus more on a true pain relief strain. I've been toking since 1968 so I need some strong stuff.
There might be a better area on the forums to ask this but I like the crew I find here. So what are some of you old broken down fukers like me growin for pain relief?
OH...I'm an outdoor grower in the Portland Or. area so it would be nice to find something that will finish late Sept. mid Oct.

Thanks for looking

I've had a few back surgeries and rods added on top of other disk issues. One of my fav pain strains are Durga mata from paradise. I've grown and kept this strain for 8 yrs. there's lots of others out there I've tried and they work well but something about the mata that helps the soul too. Pain and the depression it brings just don't seem to matter after I smoke my mata.

Harlequin here, light head buzz but no pains on that stuff when smoking/vaping it. I get lower back pain when I push it physically and a 60mg coconut oil pill takes care of it for a few hours. I barely notice that I took anything (high-wise) at that dosage but any pain is gone and no crash. I like that, if I want to get high I run plenty of other strains to get high on.

Thanks I'll google that one up.

Harlequin and Harlequin cross from Bodhi.
Charlotte's Web
And there's another one that slips me at the moment, oh, Frank's gift.
Sounds like Harlequin is popular, I think I can pick a clone or 2 up from around here.
I read a bit about Frank's Gift but couldn't find any way to source it locally, at least none of the area shops have seeds or clones.

This is exactly what I need for daytime. Like you I've got plenty of other good shit. My Sweet Afghani completely melts all of my pain %28.55 thc 1.33 cbd but melt is the key word.

Oregon...Ya know what's strange is that I believe Franks Gift originated here but I can't find it other than bud from a few dispensaries.
Been looking for that Frank's Gift in seed form for about a year. Oregon Growers Guild is where it apparently originated but only available in clones. I'm up in Canada so can't get clones,. wish someone would S1 that one :( .

There's a guy on PDX Craigslist that has Lucy's Lion clones, high CBD 22:1. Check it out. His ad says "Clones Starts Larger Plants", now you won't have to read thru all trying to find the one I'm talking about. Hope this helps old timer.

The harlaquin I have ran has been a much better plant IMO then Frank's gift. Grows better and tastes better. The franka gift IMO is hard to smoke due to off-putting taste.

Thanks for this thread, I'm looking for the same thing as I have a degenerative joint condition. I didn't even have chance to get old before I got broken down lol. I want something that is gonna kill the pain but leave me able to go about my day. There's nothing worse than that moment when I'm stood in the queue in my local shop waiting to buy bread or something, when I just suddenly realise that I am very stoned in a shop full of staring people and my legs don't want to hold me up anymore... I want to be both physically and mentally capable of going to work and dealing with people, and generally I'm only one or the other! I'll definitely check out that Harlequin, cheers guys :peace:

I'm that guy on CL that has Lucy's Lion.. I'm maybe 2-3 weeks from having more clones from her... They're pretty popular.
If you're buying off CL make sure you quarantine it... I'm at a point where I've stopped getting from most other cloners cause they almost always end up having mites or gnats!

Wonder if this site is legit. I'm in Canada looking for high cbd seeds as well.
Never bought there, that site looks a little bush league. There's all kinds of sites that sell high CBD strains in seed form, Frank's Gift is supposedly almost all CBD with little THC but started as a clone-only and haven't seen any in seed form. Harlequin is supposed to be 50/50 but you have to pheno hunt as you would with any strain from seed.

If you want to stay in Canada I've bought from BC Bud Depot a few times, decent service and pricing is in CAD. They have a Harlequin in BX4 available, took me a pack to find one good pheno, there were a couple of decent phenos but the one I kept was exceptional all around and finishes in ~49 days as a bonus.
