Thanks for the reply and hope those xmas trees are looking good folks
Hi- I just got Mephisto Double Grape seeds and will grow them outdoors So I wanted to ask how they did, seems like very well based on your photo. I live 45 minutes east of San Francisco.
I'm at about 45.5º. I get about 6-7 hours of overhead direct sunlight per day in my yard (neighbors have trees east and west of me cutting my day short at both ends). I time my grows to finish in August while the sun is still relatively high in the sky and the days are dry. I grow in the ground, in well tended raised beds. I have issues with bud worms, so I have to grow under bug netting, which I am told cuts 20-25% of the light. With that much (or little) light, the buds are not very dense, but they are still frosty, smell great, and overall produce well.Hi- I just got Mephisto Double Grape seeds and will grow them outdoors So I wanted to ask how they did, seems like very well based on your photo. Well i ended up planting some Fifty Shades of Grape instead as I wanted to have a balance of indica and saliva leaning plants and had too many seeds lolI'm at about 45.5º. I grew two Double Grapes last summer. I wasn't going to, one seed was so small I thought it was not actually fully formed and soaked it just to see if it would pop. It did, so I planted it, and it ended out producing 2.6 ounces. The other one was more in line with the rest of the Mephisto strains I had going, and produced 6.4oz., putting it right in the middle of that group in terms of production. I don't smoke (although I do edibles daily), but the person I grow for loves Double Grape. I did put a few buds in a NugSmasher and then sample the result in a Kandypen vape pen, and there's a few hours of my life I barely recall. Very potent stuff.
There are a lot of variables. I have found that autos are sensitive to temps, cool nights and mornings can really slow them down. And obviously, how much light they get is probably the biggest and hardest to control factor. At least soil we can have more influence over.
