Which animals are most likely to damage...?

I live in New England and am planning an outdoor grow this spring/summer. From other people's experiences, which animals are most likely to cause problems (i.e. eating my plants)? And how often does this happen in general? I assumed deer would be the worst (there are a lot in my area), then possibly
squirrels and mice.

Also, has any one tried coyote urine to keep deer away (or similar for other animals)? Is it worth the 20 dollars and the time it takes to put it down? I think it is a worthwhile precaution, but wanted to hear about other people's experiences.

I am in New England. And deer are a major problem. If you have any deer near your grow they can and will destroy it over night. I use Liquid fence and Coyote Urine plus a bar of irish spring soap Its well worth it. if your only going to use one go with the liquid fence. It does work.

Deer ruined my sunflower garden last summer. I heard if you put lime around your plants/garden that will keep them away. I've also heard human hair clippings as well. Or you could just shoot em:P

deer, rabbits, rats, dogs. i have found all kinds of animals like to munch on the maryj. i dont know of any surefire ways to keep them away, but they are mostly scared of humans, so i usually urinate around my outdoor grows everyday. seems to work, havent had much of a problem, except with catapillers, but dont know how to keep them away.

In my area the only thing that keeps deer away is deer netting.
I have tried: urines(human and animals), soaps, mothballs, perfumes, hairclippings (human and dog)...Deer can also jump easily over six foot fences so I try and get the netting up as high as I can (7 feet plus).
I hate deer!
