Wheres the potency???

Im currently One month past my last harvest and currently have my harvest curing in some nice Ball brand glass mason jars. They took 3 days to cure were im at, with the low humidty in my area, its hard to maintain humidity at correct levels for drying. Using an humidifier helped that and I was able to dry my whole harvest in about 3 days ,temps 68-70,humidity 63-66%.steady. Each strain has about the same density bud, i pulled it when stems bent with a slight crisple crakle, but were still bendy an pliable.Buds were so sticky with resin but not wet. Then a little more trimm and into the jar it went. Its Now 15 days into cure. And I decided to sample all 3 strains today, DNA:holy Grail Kush, and 2 free-beez Vision Ak49,wich I was very impressed with and Kannibia's Power Skunk.This My first grow that I actually purchased genetics, kush was in orginal breeders pack.This kush STUNK at the end of flower lol. Anyway im yapping, but the samples i tested were all very tasteful, but didnt burn decent enough in my bong for me, but all 3 were coated in sugar an smelled and tasted GREAT,,But the Potency JUST WASNT THERE!,, and it was all 3 strains not just one or two!! .And I Considered my self a pretty seasoned smoker, smoke for a long time, smoked super dank and smoked super junk,, but still pretty knew to the grow scene. I just got tired of dealling with the bs of having to get my meds off the street. Can anybody clue me in on this?? Does the curing process have to continue until the thc becomes physcoactive? I really dont know how this happens. Buds look super topp shelf but have no bang-bang or is that still to come???

Any number of things could have happened. I'm not familiar with any of those "strains", but they should have the desired potency now. Further curing is only gonna "polish off" the end result. Your buds should be very potent (as potent as genetics will allow) when they are dried.
Did you perhaps harvest too early?

Done in three days ....wow!, would be easier to use the microwave if you want that itchy throat feeling ....lol

Yeah Jack that is a possibility i harvested them all at 30%cloudy70clear,had to cal-mag def.hit me late in flower sucks

I had a cal/mag def hit me hard my first 2 grows. I let 'em go the full distance (wretched wrecks that they were) and got some mighty fine smoke. I think only one of the first go survived, but I got about 3 oz from it. Thats how I learned about cal/mag deficiencies. Only took me 2 grows to figure it out, what with all the the "advise" I got on the forums being all over the place!!!

My new rule of thumb....If its a Sat Dom, supplement cal/mag in flower!!!

You can ride out any deficiency in late flower bro, no need to chop. Anyhow biggest possibility is that perhaps your choice in genetics did not suit your experience level nor your tolerance level. I had some Holy Grail Kush a while back and potency wise it was not really impressive. Nice flavour, but it didn't really get you wasted. I thought it was a nice daytime smoke.

No pro here but I'd assume three days is to fast my buddy and if there was any light on the plants that may have decreased potency as well. From what understand anyways

Sounds to me also you harvested too early, as said 70% clear is too early, you should have waited for 10% to 20% amber or at least some signs of amber.

Nuts I was stoned totally missed that bit... Yeah chopped them waaaay too soon there too. As stated above at least some signs of amber trichs. Should be almost no clear ones.

Curing does bring out the potency for sure. My opinion once the buds start to trun golden in the jar (2mths) they are cured. You may get a ammonia smell as this is happening. I notice bud getting better and better the longer it cures. If you over dry your buds you cant cure them properly.

I let mine go late. You don't even need the magnification once you've let one go late. They will be ripe to the eye. The color of the whole plant changes to a fall color and calyxes swell to make buds over sized and misshaped. A lot of it is preference but IMO you should let one go late so you can see the whole plant cycle. You wont be disappointed.

I totally agree. When the sugar leaves start getting a couple amber trichs i know its close but i chopped a sativa early once and it tasted like grass and ever since then ill error on the side of a late chop rather than early. I can deal with couch lock but not weed that tastes like grass clippings.
