Rep needs to be turned off for non marijuana related sections. It makes the system useless.

I'll have to disagree with that. It still hows how others feel about you and shows you have /some/ credibility even in different discussions.

16,702 with 171 power...... feelin the love. Rep is great for many things beyond just growing knowledge. I get a lot for making people laugh, or giving good life advice. +rep is +rep.

I get a lot of rep for being a pillar of consistency on this forum. I consistently post consistently.
