where to put thermometer in a tent

hi everyone where would be the best place to place a thermometer in agrow tent to give a proper reading should it be in the shade or in direct light my light is 12 inch away its a 400w

You do not want it in direct light, otherwise you will get inaccurate readings. You want to measure the ambient air temp.

where should i put it then m8 in a shady bit ??

I usually keep mine on the wall near the top of the canopy, this give u the ambient temp for the area that is important
